Problem Solved!

This M11 powered Acco had been experiencing random electrical issues:
- Crank / No start
- No crank
- Instrumentation and Dash Cluster drop outs.

Vehicle had various electrical work carried out prior to coming to us including new dash cluster and rewiring of the engine harness and fuse box.

Vehicle presented with fault code 434 - Power supply lost after ignition on.

Quick check over of recent repairs showed no faults.

We followed the power supply to the engine computer back to the batteries, peeled back the conduit near the rear of the front springs and voilá!

The power supply cables had been soldered straight onto a section of battery cable and corrosion had taken its toll.
The only thing that was keeping the wiring contacted was a section of tape and the conduit.

Wiring repaired and insulated properly, secured the wiring out of harms way and off she went.

Days job was an annual trailer overhaul on a recently purchased trailer for our customer.
First pair of hubs were removed revealing a worn axle.
Once axle was removed for repair a crack was found in one of the hangers.
Axle and hanger replaced.
Remaining axles overhauled.
New fifth wheel fitted.
A few other minor repairs and some general clean up.
Rego done and back on the road. ✅
Happy Trailer. Happy Customer.

With fuel prices exceeding $3.00/L it is putting an enormous strain on Australia’s transport division.
We are encouraging everyone to take the time to install lockable fuel caps to their vehicles to protect themselves against fuel theft.

In the event you fall victim to fuel theft, we offer mobile refuelling to get you back on the road.

P.s Don’t forget about the tank caps on your refrigerated trailer fuel tanks.

It’s a sad day for any company to have to close its doors, whether a one truck operation with everything on the line to a multinational especially when so many livelihoods are impacted. My heart goes out to Noelene & Lyndon Watson and their entire crew.

After 77 years and with a fleet of 150 odd trucks, this is a taste of the small profit margins available to transport operators today. We’re being undercut, screwed to the ground, played by companies with no pride and it’s taking its toll.

It’s tough out there, there are many factors as to why, just be grateful if it’s not you.
