AASA Permit Requirements
All AASA Permitted events now require drivers and passengers to hold a AASA License.
There are several options.
Annual AASA Licence. Yearly from date of purchase
No medical requirement. There is just a medical declaration.
Cost $210 plus card fees for seniors.
Cost $100 plus card fees for juniors.
AASA Event bridging licence. Effectively a half price one day licence if you currently hold a current Speedway Australia licence or a current VSC driver card.
Cost $33 plus card fees. Per event.
AASA 3 month bridging licence. A AASA 3 month, 3 event licence if you currently hold a current Speedway Australia licence or a current VSC driver card.
Cost $55 plus card fees.
AASA One day licence. Same as Speedway Australia and VSC one day licences. For competitors with no annual licence.
Cost $60 plus card fees.
Now that both permit providers now require a permit specific licence, VSC has withdrawn its requirement for a recognised driver’s card. Competitors will have to comply to specific permit requirements.
Accident Fund cover will transfer over to vehicle registrations. Competitors will be covered by additional Accident Fund as part of their VSC vehicle registration. The vehicle must be racing in its registered class, unless otherwise approved and competitors must hold the relevant speedway licence required for the track permit, ie Speedway Australia/AASA
All Stewards and Scrutineers will have to be registered through AASA for AASA events.
VSC still requires its Scrutineers and Stewards to hold a valid VSC recognised Stewards and or Scrutineers card until further notice.
VSC Racing Rules and Regulations can still be used if clubs add it to the permit Supp Regs.
