Engineering Three Tanker Designs for a Waste Oil Collection Fleet
Another set of bespoke road tankers is ready for delivery to Cleanaway .
This project required three tanker designs across FUSO Fighter, FUSO Sh**un and FUSO Sh**un with ROPS (not shown) cab chassis.
While the operational requirement was consistent, each cab chassis demanded its own engineering solution to maximise payload, optimise barrel capacity and deliver rapid waste oil collection performance.
Rather than adapting a standard design, ATE engineered each tanker specifically for its platform, ensuring consistent functionality while optimising the capability of each vehicle.
Each tanker is fitted with a lightweight aluminium barrel with capacities ranging from 15,000L to 16,000L. Equipment upgrades include a Boerger pumping system, hose reel, overfill protection and ground level tank gauging displays to improve safety by reducing the need for the operator to access the top of the tanker.
