We’re not really bird experts (our family of eastern water dragons are our fav❤️)…. We think this is a yellow-tailed black cockatoo, but can anyone confirm? Beautiful bird… although they don’t seem to have much respect for our freshly cleaned concrete! 😂�

Every now and then one of our corporate customers gets a container delivery into the loading zone, ready for the coming Christmas season and supporting their customers around Australia and the Sunshine Coast region.

Quite a few local businesses use our storage containers for their inventory storage needs. As a small business ourselves, we’re very proud to be a part of the success of local small businesses in the greater Coolum Beach area!

This time, we took a time lapse video of the side loader container delivery. Who says container storage can’t be exciting!

Our 100% organic, but a little timid, pest control manager (we call him Bob) came out to inspect the cleaning job Casey and I just completed on container number 27. I think he was happy with it!

If you’re lucky and a little quiet, you might see Bob or his girlfriends and kids around the yard. They love the sun this time of the year.

Bob might be up for self Storage Coolum employee of the month if he keeps this up!

Our new small size containers have been quite the hit, and were all snapped up lickity split. The first customer is now moving out, so we have one available again from 24 August. Internal sizing is 2.3x2.0m base, 2.2m high (10cbm total). That's about 1/3rd the size of a 20ft container. Interested? Give me a call and we'll see if thats the right solution for you.

We took delivery today of six solid steel mini storage containers. We’ve been reconditioning these over the last couple of weeks, new form-ply floors, new rivets, and a fresh paint job! They’re the classic over-engineered Removalist containers from the 1980’s - made when things were made properly and made in Australia! It will be a few more days before they are ready to rent out as we put the finishing touches on them. If you’re looking for a storage solution around 11cbm (about 1/3rd of a shipping container, holds about 2 bedrooms of furniture and things), reach out and we’ll get you booked in. $40 per week launch price you won’t beat!

Our largest boat / caravan parking spot is becoming available in a couple of days. Currently occupying it is a 9.2m dual axel caravan (see pic on this post) so pretty much anything you can tow will comfortably fit in here. Water management is a critical element of a safe and secure self storage facility. I’ve always been impressed with the way that Glenn and Suzette designed Self Storage Coolum. Water flows efficiently and reliably over the gently sloped concrete hardstand from the high point all the way to the bio-retention basin at the rear of the property. Water doesn’t pool under containers, and any contaminants in the runoff are managed perfectly with the bioretention system before it enters our local waterways. Sharing a little video of how it looks today given we’ve had a fair bit of rain lately.
