Potholes are a truckie's biggest headache, but be aware; a run-in with one can severely damage the wheel alignment on your rig!

And unfortunately for those of you frequenting the Bruce Highway. Reports of HUGE numbers of potholes, some even being as big as 2ft wide by 6ft long and 6 inches deep! One truckie's windscreen actually smashed 😳

When you hit a pothole, your rig's suspension is subjected to severe, sudden impacts that bend or shift steering and knock suspension components out of spec. You might find bent tie rods, control arms, or struts, causing immediate alignment issues like steering wheel misalignment, pulling to one side, and uneven tyre wear.

Truckies, expect heavier traffic on the Bruce and major highways over the Easter long weekend and school hols. Oversize, Class 1, and wide load vehicles are off the road in Queensland from 3-6 April (unless exempt), so plan ahead.

Check your load restraint, watch bridge heights, stick to truck speed limits and don't forget: if it's flooded, forget it!
