TIU Motorsport is looking for a qualified mechanic or 4th year apprentice to join our team on the Sunshine Coast.

We do a wide variety of work including general servicing and repairs, major mechanical work, diagnostics, diesel, fabrication and performance upgrades/tuning.

We’re looking for someone reliable who takes pride in their work and, most importantly, has a genuine passion for cars.

Wiring/auto electrical and fabrication experience is highly regarded.

VE SSV HDT in for the full treatment!

This L76 came into the workshop for one of our Mild Cam Packages, delivering a healthy 382.5 hp and 631.2 Nm on our 4WD Mainline dyno.

This build included:
✅ Mild camshaft
✅ Trunnion bush upgrade
✅ New lifters
✅ Double valve springs
✅ Timing chain & gears
✅ New head gaskets & head bolts
✅ 2800rpm stall converter
✅ Dyno tune
✅ Transmission tune

Already equipped with 3.7:1 diff gears, this combination delivers exceptional torque and a driving experience to match. Paired with the 2800 stall converter and a transmission tune, this VE is now far more responsive off the line, pulls hard through the rev range, and has the tough cammed V8 idle every LS enthusiast loves.

Built, tuned and tested on our 4WD Mainline dyno, this HDT is now ready to enjoy.

2018 Mercedes-AMG GLC63 in for the full package. 🔥

+79.5 HP | +163 Nm

This GLC63 came into the workshop looking for more power, sharper response and a transmission calibration to match.

Here’s what we did:
✅ Performance downpipes
✅ K&N high-flow air filters
✅ New spark plugs
✅ Custom dyno tune
✅ TCU (transmission) tune

Once everything was installed, we strapped the car onto our Mainline 4WD dyno and custom calibrated both the engine and transmission to suit its new setup.

Dyno Results:

📈 Before: 417 HP | 620 Nm
📈 After: 496.5 HP | 783 Nm

That’s a gain of 79.5 HP and 163 Nm.

The transmission tune was calibrated to make Sport and Sport+ & RACE mode even more engaging, with quicker, firmer shifts and crisp crackles on upshifts that perfectly suit the character of the twin-turbo V8.

🔥 AUDI S3 IN FOR A STAGE 1 DYNO TUNE! 🔥

This Audi S3 came into the workshop for a proper Stage 1 dyno tune along with a few supporting upgrades to help it perform and sound the way it should.

✅ XForce remote-valved cat-back exhaust supplied, fitted and wired up
✅ New spark plugs installed
✅ Custom dyno tune completed

The results speak for themselves:

📈 242HP ➡️ 287.6HP (+45.6HP)
📈 355Nm ➡️ 425.6Nm (+70.6Nm)

Not only did we pick up some healthy power and torque gains, but the car now delivers much stronger mid-range response and a far more enjoyable driving experience. With the XForce valved exhaust, the owner can switch between quiet cruising and a more aggressive note at the push of a button.

Sometimes it doesn’t take major modifications to completely transform a car. 👌

The car had previously been tuned before, but after changing to a full 3-inch intake setup the drivability went downhill fast… rough idle, poor cruising and inconsistent fueling.

A lot of people focus only on peak power numbers, but real tuning is about how the car behaves everywhere 👌

After spending time recalibrating the mass airflow scaling & fuel tables this GTR now idles clean, cruises smooth and comes onto boost the way an R35 should.

Big power is easy.
Making a modified car feel refined is where the real tuning happens.
