🔥 AUDI S3 IN FOR A STAGE 1 DYNO TUNE! 🔥

This Audi S3 came into the workshop for a proper Stage 1 dyno tune along with a few supporting upgrades to help it perform and sound the way it should.

✅ XForce remote-valved cat-back exhaust supplied, fitted and wired up
✅ New spark plugs installed
✅ Custom dyno tune completed

The results speak for themselves:

📈 242HP ➡️ 287.6HP (+45.6HP)
📈 355Nm ➡️ 425.6Nm (+70.6Nm)

Not only did we pick up some healthy power and torque gains, but the car now delivers much stronger mid-range response and a far more enjoyable driving experience. With the XForce valved exhaust, the owner can switch between quiet cruising and a more aggressive note at the push of a button.

Sometimes it doesn’t take major modifications to completely transform a car. 👌

The car had previously been tuned before, but after changing to a full 3-inch intake setup the drivability went downhill fast… rough idle, poor cruising and inconsistent fueling.

A lot of people focus only on peak power numbers, but real tuning is about how the car behaves everywhere 👌

After spending time recalibrating the mass airflow scaling & fuel tables this GTR now idles clean, cruises smooth and comes onto boost the way an R35 should.

Big power is easy.
Making a modified car feel refined is where the real tuning happens.

Straight off the showroom with 600kms this BT received a 4x4 Network 3.5 inch turbo back system.
The results are good!!
Standard: 160 HP & 359 Nm

This ls1 patrol came in using 35-40L per 100km!!, We got it down to 18-19L 🤩

Although the engine produced respectable horsepower, we identified that ignition timing at lower RPM was excessively conservative. To achieve the required torque, the system compensated by increasing throttle input, which in turn raised fuel consumption.

What the engine truly responded to was additional ignition timing in the cruise range—delivering efficiency and drivability without unnecessary fuel demand.

Sometimes, making power is the easy part. 😃

For a technician being passionate about performance, there is nothing more exciting in this world then purchasing and owning a dyno, for many people this is a dream. They are exciting, they are the most expensive peice of equipment you will
Ever buy. In fact i spent every cent i had to buy this dyno in our beginnings.

One crazy thing i have learned is that lots of other dyno graphs online i found to be incorrect & actually had been manipulated for gains. When you use a dyno personally & test different afr, timing and boost you find that there is a natural limit. People can be all about horsepower sometimes & being honest can feel like a let down to some customers. Nonetheless,
I have loved this dyno and are happy to see it go to a good friend.
