The fuel flap gets film too. ⛽

It's a small round panel, but it's right where a hand goes every time you fill up, and it sits on the rear quarter where the back wheels throw gravel. So it doesn't get skipped.

That's the card above, and it's how we get you a straight answer on the new MUX style SUV or any other rig without a dozen back and forths. Photos of the paint as it sits today tell us more than a description ever will.

Heat is what lets PPF seal around the film edges, so it bonds to the panel instead of fighting it after being freshly laid. It's worked in by hand, and it's not a step to rush.

The installs that last are built on this kind of patience.

Rudi's flat on the floor for a reason. 👀

The lower lip of a front bar is the bit nobody checks standing up, and it's one of the first places gravel lands. So film coverage has to follow the bar down and underneath, not stop where the eye does.

Size is the catch with bigger vehicles. More bonnet, more guard, more nose pushed into the road, and every square metre of it can take a hit.

That's why this one's getting film. It covers a bigger footprint than your average vehicle, so it cops more of what gets thrown at it. Stones, grit, whatever's kicked back from the vehicles ahead.

Bonnet and bar line. That's where the stones land first.

On a 70 Series the leading edge takes everything the tyres and the trucks ahead throw back. Gravel, highway grit, whatever's on the road. So the film goes on there before it goes anywhere else.

Film takes the hit so the paint doesn't have to. It's resistant, not immune, but it's a lot better off than bare paint.
