We currently have a position for a recent school leaver. Position is for a reception person. The successful applicant will be required to greet customers, generate job cards, invoices, take payments. They will also be required to update the business social media accounts. We would also like them to learn Word Press so they can continue setting up and maintain our website. All applicants are requested to send their resume and contact details to [email protected]. Once we have chosen the person to fill this position they will be expected to start ASAP. They will then be on a 3week trial Award wage for first 6month to be reviewed every 6 months. this is a Monday to Friday position.

Customers Chrysler 300C 3.5 litre engine going back together after replacing 6 exhaust valves due to a broken timing belt. We felt really sorry for him. This happened 2 months after he bought it. TOP TIP, when buying a used car check the service history, especially if the timing belt has been changed if the car has a timing belt.

Customer came to us with a diesel VW Golf. He had been told the head gasket was blown and required replacement. This was after taking the car to a Volkswagen dealer workshop. They had been informed the engine had overheated. Their fix was to replace the water pump. The car continued to overheat and use coolant. The car was run into our workshop and coolant topped up. Our senior mechanic instantly saw the problem as being a leaking EGR cooler. A few checks and tests also revealed a lack of power due to sized turbo wastegate. Both the EGR cooler and turbo were replaced and road tested. Engine no longer overheats or uses coolant also has more power.

Moral of the story don't rely on supposed factory trained technicians. Rarely can they diagnose an issue if it doesn't involve a scan tool.
