Happy Monday morning everyone! Ben’s bought in his completely standard 80 series 1HD-FT auto cruiser for quite a few modifications we will be installing a United Fuel Injection 18g turbo HDAutomotive airbox and there custom 4” intake with a Performance Diesel Intercoolers front mount intercooler kit with there upgraded big transmission cooler and on the tuning side we will be using custom fuel pins and springs from Tillix Performance and Tuning base runs were 60kw and 200nm at the wheels 🛞 stay tuned 🎶 while we work our magic 🪄 and get this done ✅

Happy Sunday everyone, we have just heard unfortunate news from one of our customers brody thats his gu nissan patrol utes been stolen from sunbury, ( killara area) in Melbournes north-west please keep your eyes out for it he has only recently had alot of work done to it as well. Happy Friday everyone adams gu is now back on the dyno after we carried out a United Fuel Injection 200hp 11mm pump upgrade with new injectors and spill rail we have removed the gearbox to replace the standard nissan clutch and upgraded it to a ufi clutch with rear main seal, clutch fork boot replacement with gear selector boot replacement and did the Patrolapart & Navarapart brass shifter upgrade. It already had a Radius Fabrication airbox 4” intake to the ufi turbo and Jonny Tig top mount intercooler. Original run with the tiered pump 😴 saw 41kw and 170nm to it now making 133kw and 485nm thats a huge gain of 92kw and 315nm gain at the wheels 🛞 🕺🏼💃🏼🕺🏼💃🏼

Tech tip Thursday 👨‍🔧 here is one of the most taboo subjects getting around and we constantly get asked about it. Here is a factory gu turbo flywheel with its factory step not machined flat like 90% of people do! We always when replacing clutches make sure the correct step is machined back into the flywheel, we have found time and time again if it gets machined flat it will lower the clamp force and ultimately the nm your clutch will handle and have had previously had clutches installed elsewhere and when we have gone to tune them ran into issues with clutch slip on the dyno please do not machine them flat!!!!!!!

Good morning everyone here is a continuation from last nights post with the holset hx35 turbo and now vs a United Fuel Injection 21l what ive done to make it “easier” for everyone is a direct comparison of power / torque / boost / afr between them so you can clearly see just how much more responsive the ufi turbo is from in our opinion the most critical rpm of 1600 rpm to 2200 rpm when driving a diesel. Both vehicles have ufi 230 hp 11mm pumps both have 35z both have same diff ratios both have front mount intercoolers with 4” airboxes and 4” snorkels. Both are run same ramp rate on our dyno dynamics dyno of 70rr and always ran from 1,000 rpm prior either turbo having boost so we get accurate readings of off boost and on boost fuelling by all means if you have any questions we are always happy to answer them this is a no bu****it back to back turbo comparison. The crazy part is theres .5kw difference in “overall power” but! At 2,000 rpm the holset turbo GREEN LINE makes 350nm where the ufi turbo RED LINE makes its peak torque of 600nm at the exact same rpm!!!!!! Thats an insane 250nm of torque difference at the same rpm!!!!! Holesets boost is 10psi at 2,000 rpm where the ufi is 26psi! You can also see from the afrs the ufi needs far less fuel off boost too.

Jarvis has bought in his chopped gu patrol in for a tune 🎶 its got a United Fuel Injection 230hp 11mm pump Performance Diesel Intercoolers front mount a holeset hx35 on a high mount manifold with a jeff fab airbox and 4” snorkel and on 35z as arrived it came in very sooty at 14.1 before it came on boost. Due to the inherent issue of these turbos not being responsive under 2,500 it is difficult to get them to get going with minimal soot and not be even more laggy than they already are. As arrived was 146 and 525nm to now a far less sooty 162kw and 550nm! 🕺🏼

NOTE:

Because this debate gets asked 1000 times next post will be a comparison of this hx35 to a ufi 21l as ive done another customers car same pump / fmic / similar airbox / snorkel on 35z but only major difference is the turbo both these 2 cars actually made .5kw from each other its what happens from 1600rpm to 2200rpm that will blow your mind 2,500rpm to 3,800rpm was extremely identical between them stay tuned for this post 🕺🏼

Happy Monday everyone! Adams bought in his stretched gu nissan patrol ute in for quite a list of upgrades! It already has a Radius Fabrication airbox, United Fuel Injection 16g turbo a Jonny Tig top mount intercooler on a factory ti 11mm pump and original injectors. Base run was a struggling 41kw and 170nm at the wheels 🛞 (we are absolutely not kidding it was that low on power and torque as the pumps extremely tiered 😴 ) all sourced from Patrolapart & Navarapart we have ufi 200hp 11mm pump with brand new injectors and spill rail ufi clutch / new rear main / genuine clutch fork and gear selector rubbers with patrolaparts upgraded gearbox selector bush kit which we absolutely love and recommend its the best $60 bucks plus postage you will ever spend! With adams gu only having the smaller 16g turbo and carrying quite a bit of weight from the canopy / accessories we will be aiming at a very modest 170-180hp ( around 130kw ) at the wheels but keep in mind from its current output its going to be more than three times the power and over double the torque! 🕺🏼 stay tuned 🎶

Timing cover swaps all done on yannicks gq with genuine rear plate, timing cover and all genuine gaskets from Patrolapart & Navarapart and Derk John Brocx blueprint waterpump with the turbo swap done with new exhaust studs and gaskets! 🕺🏼 note: the two long 10x1.25 studs that go through the timing covers to the water pump the rear seals been leaking and it corroded right up the studs we had to cut through the timing cover to relieve it as it was soo stuck no leverage with the pry bar would make it budge! 🕺🏼

Yannicks bought in his gq td42 nissan patrol in for a timing cover leak repair and a list of service / maintenance and performance upgrades. Due to the severity of his leak we are replacing the timing cover and rear plate with new lower and upper thermostat housings with new genuine bolts a Derk John Brocx blueprint waterpump new engine mounts new clutch rear main and sump and sump gasket and fitting a supplied 2nd hand United Fuel Injection turbo on a g-turbo manifold all seals and gaskets and parts are genuine nissan from Patrolapart & Navarapart we only use and highly recommend genuine parts they always fit perfect and we never have issues with leaks 🕺🏼
