In all seriousness, we want to share this failure with you because we stand behind our parts. We are proud of our real warranty program and the component that caused the failure in this engine has been DISCONTINUED and we do not have concern these parts will find their way into new engines.
We look forward to continuing to support Jason and the team's Barra dreams both here and in the US!
In taking over an existing business, we have inherited some fantastic parts and also some not-so-fantastic parts as you may all be aware. We have spent the last two years going over parts with a fine tooth comb and unfortunately this was one of those engines shortly after handover which had not yet benefitted from the new Atomic knowledge and thoroughness yet. Since uncovering this issue, we have scrapped thousands of unused collets and sorted through thousands more to retain only OEM Ford collets. Each collet we use has been measured on a critical dimension and inspected as a result of this lesson.
Whilst Jason was pushing this motor beyond it's warrantied power (550kw at the crank), we have honoured the warranty, not because he's a superstar drifter youtuber, but because the failure was undeniably caused by a component issue and was not related to the engine's power output or extended use.
