Electric brake assemblies are key components in modern trailer and RV braking systems. Instead of using hydraulic fluid like traditional brakes, these use electrical signals to activate brake shoes via electromagnets.

How It Works:

When you press the brake pedal in your vehicle, a signal is sent through a brake controller to the electric brakes. The electromagnet is energized, pulling the brake shoes outward to press against the brake drum — slowing down or stopping the wheel.

How to Read Your Tyre Size – Explained Simply!

Ever looked at the side of your tire and seen something like 205/55 R16 91V? That’s your tyre size — and here’s how to decode it:

Example: 205/55 R16 91V

1. 205 – Tire Width
Width of the tire in millimeters (from sidewall to sidewall).
(205 mm wide)

2. 55 – Aspect Ratio
Ratio of the tire’s sidewall height to its width.
(55% of 205 mm = sidewall height)

3. R – Radial Construction
Most modern tires are Radial, meaning the layers run radially across the tire.

4. 16 – Wheel Diameter
Fits a 16-inch rim.

5. 91 – Load Index
Indicates the max weight the tire can carry.
(91 = 615 kg per tire)

6. V – Speed Rating
Max speed capability.
(V = up to 240 km/h or ~149 mph)

Pro Tips:
• Always match new tires with your car’s specs.
• Refer to your owner’s manual or door frame label.
• Don’t ignore speed/load ratings—they affect safety!
