Welcome to Go's Time-Travelling Toolbox. Today’s blast from the past: a couple of Sidchrome spanners sporting the old sizes — 5/16W and 1/4W.

Back when Whitworth ruled the world and every bolt had its own… personality.

These beauties aren’t used anymore. We went from Whitworth to AF, and now everything’s metric — which is great, except when you find an old bolt that looks at you like, “Mate, good luck.”

Another relic from the days when tools were built tough and measurements were… well… mysterious.

AI For Car Repairs?
Seems some drivers are turning to AI, Google and mates to fix their cars… but modern vehicles aren’t exactly backyard friendly. Skipping services or DIY ing the tricky stuff can turn small issues into big, expensive ones. Check your basics, sure — wiper condition, oil, water, and tyres. After travelling up and down the Pacific Highway these past few days - you certainly see some driving insights!!
For instance, it’s been more than three years since the “move over, slow down” laws came in, yet roadside workers and emergency services are still dealing with drivers flying past as if nothing’s changed.
The rule couldn’t be simpler: if you see flashing lights, move over and slow down. Red, blue, amber… doesn’t matter what colour. It’s not a suggestion, it’s not a courtesy – it’s the law! These workers are out there keeping our roads running — the least we can do is keep them safe.

Turns out HR finally caught up with me… which is impressive, considering HR is just me having a stern word with myself in the mirror.

Anyway, after a thorough performance review (I asked myself the hard questions, like “Do you actually know where you put that 10mm socket?”), Management has decided I’ve earned an extra day off to tack onto the Logan Showday holiday on Monday.

So if you’re looking for me tomorrow, you won’t find me at the workshop — I’ll be here instead.......

(On second thoughts, don’t bother looking for me at all. I’ll be far too busy doing absolutely nothing and excelling at it.)⛱️
