A BIGG THANK-YOU TO ALL OUR CUSTOMERS.
UMR Engines was started in 1975. UMR Engines has been the only form of income for Graeme and Sherryl from 75 to 2026. It has been a great 50 odd years. It is now time to retire so the business is for sale. I need the workshop for another project so the lucky new owner needs to relocate. The business is being split up into two sections and the cylinder head section is being sold first. UMR cylinder head section is being sold with the WEB site and advertised phone number and all the necessary equipment. The price is very negotiable and I will consider all offers. I would consider this profitable section to be worth upwards of $500,000 ,especially with the UMR WEB site and phone number as this gives you the option to also expand into engine reconditioning and engine machining. Are you an experienced machinist/engine rebuilder?

UMR Engines has a full-time position available for you!

You will have experience in:

- Machining - bore and honing, milling block decks, con rod restoration, etc.
- Using a Sunnen rod hone, semi-automatic hydraulic cylinder hone, and Rottler air float boring bar is an advantage.
- All reconditioning processes.
- Reconditioning and rebuilding all makes and models of passenger cars with petrol and diesel engines.

Selected training will be available to the successful applicant, along with complete access to UMR Engines air-conditioned engine assembly room. Potential weekly performance bonuses (once the probation period is complete), short working day each Friday, and above award remuneration.

Are you an experienced qualified mechanic?

UMR Engines is offering a casual position - possible full-time basis after probation - with an hourly rate of $30, plus potential weekly performance bonuses, and a short working day each Friday.

You will have knowledge in:

General mechanics for all types of petrol, 4WD, and diesel vehicles.
Engine repairs for all types of petrol, 4WD, and diesel vehicles.
Head gaskets.
New cylinder head replacements.
