🔥 VL COMMODORE — FULL CUSTOM AUDIO & INTERIOR BUILD 🔥

When two workshops come together with the same attention to detail, this is the result.

This stunning VL Commodore was a collaboration between Race Automotive Sound & Vision and Carman’s Interiors, combining a completely custom audio installation with beautifully finished upholstery to create a build that looks every bit as good as it sounds.

🔊 THE AUDIO BUILD

✅ 2 × 12” Hertz Cento Subwoofers incorporated into a completely custom-built boot installation

✅ MTX Terminator 5-Channel Amplifier — completely hidden away in the rear of the boot to keep the finished installation clean and uncluttered

✅ 6.5” Audio System Germany Front Splits installed into custom-made front door cards

✅ 6.5” Audio System Germany Rear Coaxials integrated into the custom-built rear parcel shelf

🔇 FULL VEHICLE SOUND TREATMENT

Before the interior went back together, we carried out extensive sound treatment throughout the entire VL, including:

• Roof
• Floor
• Front & rear doors
• Boot floor and surrounding panels
• Boot lid

The goal wasn’t simply to make the system louder.

It was to create a better environment for the audio system to perform — reducing panel resonance, vibration and unwanted road noise while giving the speakers and subwoofers a much more solid foundation to work from.

🔥 A LITTLE SNEAK PEEK...THIS ONE IS ONLY JUST GETTING STARTED🔥

Something a little different currently taking shape in the Race Automotive Sound & Vision workshop. 👀

We’re building a completely custom audio system, and one of the first pieces of the puzzle is this hand-fabricated fibreglass subwoofer enclosure, moulded specifically to utilise the space underneath the rear seats.

No generic off-the-shelf box.
No wasted space.
No compromising the vehicle just to fit a subwoofer.

The enclosure is being shaped around the vehicle from the ground up, allowing us to maximise the available space while keeping everything integrated, clean and purpose-built.

And this is only the beginning.

There’s a lot more fabrication, equipment and detail still to come before this build is finished — and we’ll be sharing more of the process as it comes together.

🔊 NISSAN NAVARA AUDIO UPGRADE 🔊

This Navara came into Race Automotive Sound & Vision for a clean and effective audio upgrade, improving clarity, volume and overall sound quality while keeping the installation neat and practical.

The system was upgraded with:

✅ Audison APK690 6x9” component speakers
✅ Audison APX6.5 6.5” coaxial speakers
✅ Musway NX175.4 4-channel amplifier

The Audison speakers provide a much cleaner, more detailed sound compared to the factory setup, while the Musway amplifier gives the system the extra power and control it needs to perform properly.

LDV Van Audio Upgrade, Clean, Practical & Built to Perform 🔊

This LDV Van came through for a proper audio upgrade while still keeping the interior practical and usable.

We built and installed a custom down-firing subwoofer enclosure designed to sit neatly in the vehicle while delivering strong, controlled bass without taking over the cabin space. Paired with a 10” Audison Voce II subwoofer, this setup adds real depth and impact while keeping the install clean and professional.

For the front stage, we installed Audison Voce II splits in the doors, along with Audison Voce II coaxials in the roof, giving the van a much fuller and more detailed sound throughout the cabin.

To power and control everything properly, we used a Musway M6 Pro DSP amplifier and Musway One1000 mono amplifier, allowing the system to be tuned for clarity, balance and output.

We also treated the doors with sound deadening, helping reduce unwanted vibration and improve speaker performance.

This Huracán already had the presence, the performance and the attitude but the factory sound just wasn’t keeping up with the experience.

So we gave it the upgrade it deserved.

We installed Audio System Germany M 200 EVO 2 8” splits, giving this exotic a serious jump in clarity, detail, midbass and overall sound quality while keeping the finish clean and refined.

NISSAN NAVARA AUDIO UPGRADE 🔊

This clean black Nissan Navara came in for a speaker upgrade, keeping everything looking factory while giving the sound system a step up in clarity, detail and overall listening enjoyment.

We upgraded the front stage with Musway MC69.2C component speakers, giving the Navara a much cleaner and more refined sound up front, with sharper vocals, better detail and a more controlled listening experience.

For the rear, we installed Musway MC62 speakers, helping fill the cabin with a balanced, smooth and more enjoyable sound for every passenger.

Mitsubishi Lancer, Modern Audio & Tech Transformation

This Lancer came in for a serious upgrade not just louder sound, but a cleaner, smarter and more premium driving experience.

We brought the interior up to date with a new Mongoose head unit, giving the owner wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless music, maps, calls and everyday connectivity without the cable clutter.

From there, the factory sound system was replaced with a full Musway audio package, designed to deliver a much more refined, detailed and enjoyable sound inside the cabin.

The upgrade included:

✅ Mongoose head unit with Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto
✅ Musway Carbon front splits
✅ Musway Carbon rear coaxial speakers
✅ Musway Active 8" subwoofer

The Musway Carbon speakers give the system a cleaner, sharper and more controlled sound, bringing vocals, instruments and detail forward in a way the factory system simply cannot.

To finish it off, the Musway Active 8" subwoofer was neatly tucked into the boot, adding that missing low-end punch and depth while keeping the install clean, compact and practical.
