Trinity Marine (Whitsunday Rent A Yacht & Sunsail Whitsundays) is seeking individuals with strong communication skills, boating experience & local knowledge.

You will be responsible for delivering clear, calm, and informative safety and operational briefings to our guests before they set off on their boating adventure around the Whitsunday Islands.

We are looking for someone who is patient & approachable, who enjoys helping people feel confident & capable on the water. A genuine passion for the marine industry and an ability to engage with a diverse range of guests is essential.

Briefings typically begin at 8:00am and run for approximately four hours. There may also be opportunities for occasional vessel deliveries to or from Hamilton Island.

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
• Bareboat Briefers Ticket (GBRMPA) or a willingness to obtain.
• Strong boating and navigational knowledge

The Shute Harbour Slipway provides a range of boat repair and maintenance services. Located within the Whitsunday Rent A Yacht base, in Shute Harbour, Whitsundays Queensland - 10 minutes from Airlie Beach.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:
• Boat slipping and launching (mobile cradles)
• High pressure water blasting
• Antifouling preparation & application
• Boat polishing
• Hull sanding
• Fibreglass and gelcoat repairs
• Laminating, sanding, flowcoating and installation of fibreglass components
• Preparing woven and core materials following templates & dimensions

𝐈𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐚 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞:
• Proven experience in a similar working environment
• A recreational boat license or commercial certification
• Spray painting experience

Initially this is a casual position, based on a 38 hour working week. With progression to full time after a qualifying period. On very rare occasions you may be required to work outside normal working hours for tidal reasons.

The position will include (but is not limited to) duties such as:

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic person to join our Operations Team.

The Position:
The purpose of this role is to be responsible for the day to day maintenance of our fleet of charter vessels; before, during and after each charter. It requires a high level of organisational skill, good communication ability and sound knowledge of all aspects of vessel maintenance.
The role is diverse and flexibility to work throughout busy charter seasons is preferred.
