​This brand-new Volkswagen T-Roc rolled straight from the dealership into the studio for our Gtechniq Tier 2 Paintwork Protection Package. ​Even fresh off the showroom floor, the factory black paintwork already had minor swirling holding back its true depth and gloss.

We just wrapped up a comprehensive Interior & Exterior Detail Package on this awesome dual-cab for the crew over at Select Site Solutions.

​Between site work, day-to-day operations, and hitting the road, utility vehicles can take a serious beating inside and out. We deep-cleaned and refreshed the entire interior, stripping away the grime and getting those floor mats and footwells back to factory condition. Rescuing a Legend: FPV FG Falcon GT Boss 335 🦅✨

​When the new owner brought this stunning FPV GT Boss 335 into the studio, the true depth of the paint was completely hidden. It had been ceramic coated by a previous detailer, but the finish was in horrible condition. Beyond the severe swirl marks and lifeless haze, there was chemical staining along with high spots from the old coating that was never properly removed.

​The goal? Repair the damage, rejuvenate the finish, and properly protect it for years to come.

​The Process:
Proper preparation is everything. Before applying any new protection, we performed an intensive decontamination, meticulous two-stage machine cut and polish. This heavy-lifting stage was crucial to safely level the clear coat, remove those deep, unsightly imperfections, and cut through that botched previous coating to restore a flawless, mirror-like finish.

​The Protection:

A ceramic coating is only ever as good as the preparation underneath it.

​This vehicle arrived at the studio with its new owner after the previous owner booked a cheaper detailer to quickly ceramic coat it before selling. The "before" photos show the reality of what happens when corners are cut with the cheaper quote:

​Zero Proper Prep: The photos clearly show heavy swirl marks, scratches, and hazing running across the entire finish. There was no real correction done to fix the paint before coating it.
​Locked-In Damage: Ceramic coatings do not hide or fill paint defects. They create a hardened, semi-permanent glass-like barrier that locks in whatever condition the paint is currently in.
​Poor Workmanship: Coating was visibly left smeared and unlevelled on the panels, leaving behind cloudy high spots that cured directly onto the clear coat.

​When a quote sounds too good to be true, preparation is always the first thing sacrificed. The true value of a professional ceramic coating isn't just the liquid in the bottle—it is the hours of thorough decontamination, heavy cutting, and refining polish required to level the paint first.
