🌧️ RACE 3 — STRONG PACE IN THE WET! 🏁

Well, that was a wet one!

I’m pretty happy with our pace in some very challenging conditions. We brought the #29 Heywoods Mustang home 13th outright and 4th in Pro Sport, with a best lap of 1:45.9181.

Unfortunately, I had one moment where I locked the rears, which cost me around four positions. That was disappointing because the pace was there, but overall, we made great progress throughout the weekend and finished with a car that felt strong.

Congratulations again to our teammate Danny Buzadzic on another brilliant 2nd-place finish!

A huge thank you to the entire crew and everyone who supports us. We’re leaving The Bend with plenty of confidence—and now I’m really looking forward to taking the Heywoods Mustang to Bathurst! ⛰️🐎

🏁 RACE 2 — A BIG STEP FORWARD! 🏁

The #29 Heywoods Mustang was strong this morning. We finished 16th outright and 4th in Pro Sport, with a best lap of 1:29.1754—more than two seconds quicker than our Race 1 best and over a second faster than qualifying!

I got caught up battling with the Monaro and then stalled after a spin, but managed to catch back up. From there, the Mustang was flying and I consistently produced my fastest laps of the weekend.

The car feels great and we’re ready to have a real crack in Race 3!

There are some very big black clouds looming over The Bend, though, and it looks like we could be racing on wet tyres. Who knows what sort of track we’ll get—but bring it on! 🌧️🏁

TROPHY RACE COMPLETE AT THE BEND!

A good, enjoyable race for the Heywoods Mustang, bringing it home in P14 after 10 hard-fought laps. The changes we made after qualifying have improved the car, and we’ve gathered more valuable information ahead of the next one.

A fantastic result for the Riseley Racing team as well, with Danny Buzadzic taking the Trophy Race win in the #3 Torana! 🏆

We’re back on track for the next race at approximately 4:00 pm. Time to keep improving and move further forward! 💚🐎
