Sebastopol Machinery Service Sebastopol Machinery Service is an agriculture business located 7km NorthWest out of Millicent on the Princes Highway Ltd.

Sebastopol Machinery Service is a South Australian agricultural machinery retail and repair business situated 7kms from Millicent on the Princes Highway. It is a third generation family operated business that is currently owned by Phil and Tanya Altschwager. It was first established in 1948 by the late Clem Altschwager as a service station and general mechanical repair business however the swing t

owards agricultural machinery repairs was made in the late 1960's when Brian Altschwager, Clem's son assumed control. In 1966 we were appointed dealers for CASE the 3rd largest agriculture machinery supplier in the world. That was the beginning of retail wholegoods available for sale in the area. In 1983 Phil started working for his father initially learning spare parts before commencing a mechanical apprenticeship and then moving into a general management position. On the 30th June 2005 Phil and Tanya purchased the business with Brian continuing to support the business. Since taking over the business Phil and Tanya have worked hard on maintaining their reputation as the preferred local provider of service excellence. They attend to their customers as quickly and efficiently as possible, on-farm if feasible so as to minimise downtime and inconvenience. At present in the workshop we employ two other highly trained, competent technicians who skills are updated by having them attend specially provided interstate training days and service schools. Recently Sebastopol Machinery Service has begun stocking and selling Stihl petrol hand-held power tools and accessories, our technicians have received certificates as qualified petrol hand-held power tool mechanics awarded by Greame Black of Stihl Australia Pty. Our commitment to our customers is very important and this is supported by our policy to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during their key times of the year. We appreciate the support our customers give us and in return we try to offer them the best possible service and support we can.
