To the South Australia Police officer who pulled my student in to the RBT on Dyson Road at Christie’s Beach this morning, thank you:

A] for enabling me to get that learner experience of being breath tested, something that is actually far more challenging to achieve than it should be, and

B] for taking the time to explain the whole process to her.

The latest information I have from my students is that if you can get to Murray Bridge, they are booking slots within a few days.

A provisional date for the commencement of in car training has been made by the SA government.

The date we are looking at is June 8th. I will make contact with all my students over the next few days to provisionally schedule lessons from that date.

Please remember that this date is still subject to Public Health Consultation at that time, but it is good to have a date to work towards.

Those that had tests canceled I will be consulting with my examiners concerning their plans.

Some good news from ServiceSA. Hopefully this points towards the end of the restriction on training.

Service SA has now resumed Learner Theory Testing, with suitable COVID-19 safety provisions in place. All customers seeking to undertake a test must call 13 10 84 to make a booking. This includes testing in regional Customer Service Centres.

There is expected to be significant demand for bookings. We thank you for your patience in getting through to make a booking.

Please be aware that the limits on the number of test spots, and additional cleaning requirements of equipment and adjacent areas, will cause some delays. Walk-in tests will not be accepted at this time.

Hazard Perception Tests and Boat Licence Testing remains suspended.

The current exemption for Hazard Perception Testing remains in force, people can still get their licence if they meet all other conditions and only the Hazard Perception Test is outstanding.
