With children heading back to school, it’s a timely reminder for everyone to take extra care around school zones.

This year, 38 pedestrians have been killed, and nearly 700 have been hospitalised, while more than 300 collisions involving children aged 0-17 were recorded in the past 12 months.

Today was an incredibly meaningful day for me: I had the honour of coaching the son of two of my former students, whom I started mentoring at age 16, and now I'm coaching their 16-year-old son. While it might make me feel a bit old, I genuinely feel special that they want me as his coach.
