The RROCA Victoria Branch will be holding its Annual Concours at Cruden Farm, Langwarrin, on Sunday 19 November at 10:00am.

The event will be open to the public who are invited to attend via the main entry on Cranhaven Road. An entry fee of $10 per person will apply to the public and Club members who do not arrive in a Club car. Members attending in a Rolls-Royce or Bentley for display can enter free of charge via the entrance on McClelland Drive. The judging of Concours cars will take place on the day and members are encouraged to enter their cars for judging. This will be an interesting and entertaining spectacle. All winning cars will be identified on the day. Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic but a coffee cart and light snacks will be available onsite. We will be sharing the day with the Aston Martin Owners Club Victorian Register who are also holding their Annual Concours (located separately within Cruden Farm), so between the two clubs there will be plenty of spectacular cars to enjoy. As Cruden Farm is a working farm and garden, no pets are allowed.

The RROCA Victoria Branch will be holding its Monthly Technical Session at the Lionel Gell School of Instruction on Sunday 5 November at 10:30am.

November is the month of the showcase of our cars with the annual Concours being held at Cruden Farm on the 19th. In preparation for this day, there will be a judges training day. Our Chief Judge Neil Mathews will present all the details required and will give instruction on what is needed to enter and prepare a car to be judged. We have many excellent cars in the Club that are of Concours standard, and with a bit of extra attention, they could be winners. Neil will explain the finer points to get them over the line. It will be a day about improving your car and it would be great to see more members put in the effort. Steve will have the barbecue fired up.

The RROCA Victoria Branch will be organising a Mid-Week Run beginning at the BP Service Station at 1789 Western Highway, Rockbank, on Wednesday 1 November at 9:30am.

Meeting at 9:30am for a 9:45am departure (please be fuelled up and ready to go), we will embark on a lovely jaunt to Ballan for morning tea at the Tin Plate on 1/132 Inglis Street. After refreshment, and a chance to discover Ballan, we shall continue on through the lovely countryside to Clunes, enjoying the blooming of spring on the way. Clunes is a beautifully preserved historic gold mining town where you can easily be transported to a different time and place, and what better way than in your Camargue or Corniche! Lunch will be at the National Hotel in Clunes on 35 Fraser Street, with food and libations at your own expense. So, join us on another fun-filled Mid-Week Run – come on, you know you really want to! Of course, all vehicles are welcome, as always. For catering purposes, booking is essential. To join the adventure, please contact Stephen Peoples via [email protected] by 27 October.
