⛔️⛔️NEW QUAD BIKE REGULATIONS⛔️⛔️
Following on from some queries regarding the new roll protection requirements, we would like to provide some simple clear clarification on what this entails.
🛑 NOT ALL QUADS require roll/crush protection 🛑
Currently the legislation requiring the fitting of roll protection revolves around farm use quads and utility quad bikes. Basically large heavy farm and utility quads with racks and tow hitch fitted or the ability to tow with engineered tow point etc etc.
Two of the quads we supply, namely the farm 150cc GY6 and Farm 250cc, require roll protection. These are currently in the final stages of design to meet and exceed the requirements.
All other quads we supply are considered sport, recreational and youths quads which do not require roll/crush protection. These have been stability tested laterally and longitudinally and certified as such. These must be fitted with roll angle warning stickers and sold with a critical angle warning hang tag as part of the owners manual pack showing the critical angle at which roll over may occur. The owners manual pack also must contain details regarding the dangers and safe operation of a quad bike / ATV.
Hope this clears up any confusion. Attached are certifications and the critical warning labels used. Also pictures of the models that are stability tested and do not requiring roll protection.
Any questions please feel free to reach out.
Thanks everyone
