This painting with the white background was the inspiration for the look and colour of Sandy. I painted it about 4 to 5 years ago. So when I started illustrating the book it was a no brainer to include this painting. So I gave it a full detailed background and gave Pam and Paul their faces.

The reaction from everyone who has bought the book or read it has been truly amazing.
