Every great business has a story, and this is the beginning of Wedmaiers Garage's next chapter.

Established in 1934, Wedmaiers Garage has been serving the Ipswich community for over 90 years.

After owning and operating the business for 27 years, Alistair officially retired and handed the keys over to Justin on 18 May 2026.

Alistair purchased Wedmaiers Garage in 1999 and spent nearly three decades building the trusted reputation the business enjoys today. His dedication to his customers, staff and the local community has left a lasting legacy, and we sincerely thank him for everything he has done. We wish Alistair all the very best for a long, happy and well-deserved retirement.

For many of our customers, Justin is already a familiar face. He first joined Wedmaiers Garage in 2012 as an apprentice under Alistair's mentorship and has grown with the business ever since. Through hard work and dedication, Justin progressed from Apprentice to Technician, Workshop Manager/Service Advisor, Manager, and now Business Owner.

There couldn't be a more fitting person to continue the Wedmaiers Garage story. Justin is passionate about delivering the same honest, reliable service our customers have come to expect, while continuing to build on the values and reputation that have made Wedmaiers Garage a trusted name for generations.

Please join us in thanking Alistair for his incredible 27 years of ownership and wishing Justin every success as he leads Wedmaiers Garage into its next chapter.
