These are the three most important things to me in karting right now. My awesome CC racing engine. My Arrow 7.1 and a first place trophy.
ELKC club day for me was a clean sweep in Restricted Medium
with a poll and 4 race wins. I realized I have a few more laps in this worn out rig when it dawned on me that I’m older than the combined ages of drivers in second and third.
Great job by everyone in the field with good clean racing.
Thanks to everyone from Eastern Lions for another great weekend.

When the kart is all dialed in it’s a good feeling stringing four laps together. The Arrow x7.1 is very consistent.

Below is a Photograph and excerpt from another site regarding kart rear bar protection. Here in Australia we have rules that prohibit the wheel being inside the rear bar AND rules that prohibit wet tyres and adjustablerear bars being narrowed to less than 1340.
The FIA appears to have identified a safety issue with tyre to tyre contact. I wonder how this will affect our rules moving forward.
What do you think about the rear wheel protection system pictured.

(As with single-seaters, kart wheels are mostly exposed to possible contact with the wheels of other vehicles. This situation had been flagged as dangerous since, according to the FIA Safety Department's analyses, wheel-to-wheel contact between different vehicles could lead to accidents and, above all, to karts overturning.)tt
