Can you believe that Ferrari are bringing out a hybrid model? The 2 electric motors will infact boost the power output to 680kW. Not bad when the Toyota Prius V hybrid is 100kW. You can have one if you've got $1.2m and don't mind left hand drive.

Looks like the CD player in a car will go the way of the cassette player. A CD player will become an option for the Peugeot 208. Basically a smartphone handset will become the music library.

The Ford Focus is made in Germany but the German VW Jetta is made in Mexico and the BMW X3 is made in the US. Confusing? At least the good old Toyota Camry is made in Australia.

What is the only model from Subaru that's not all-wheel drive? It's the new rear wheel drive BRZ sports coupe. Developed in consultation with Toyota it's the same car as the Toyota 86. Both are here later this year.

Thinking of buying an SUV? Look at models with at least a 2.4L engine. I think the 2.0L ones are a little underpowered, especially in an auto.

The new Mazda CX-5 will really shake up the SUV market. Much lighter in weight and heaps more fuel efficient than the CX-7 which it is replacing.
