Melbourne Jamboree 2026
The Melbourne Jamboree 2026 marked a return of drag racing to Victoria, held at the newly upgraded Victorian Motorsports Park. We took a small team from PAC with George competing in the Rx9 in factory Xtreme. Jay Sadek piloted “Saloupa,” while Jason Both took the wheel of “The Joker.” Rodney represented the team in Pro Compact, and Modified Compact featured two PAC entries from local Melbourne boys, Stefan Wojciechowski and Leon Rosairo, both vying for a coveted billet J.
Leon Rosairo raced in Modified Compact, securing the top qualifier with RXKNG. However, his time on track was cut short due to a burst intercooler pipe, concluding his weekend prematurely.
The track was challenging, with the team having trouble getting a full pass. Rodney did well to run a 6.51@205 in the Camaro, which earned him the top qualifier spot in Pro Compact, even with an early lift. The RX9 managed to run a 4.06 to the 1/8 with an early shutoff due to wheel spin.
After some issues with one of the lanes the team were not confident that they would be able to get the cars down the track safely, so the call was made to call it a day.
We would like to thank Kelly, Colin and the Jamboree team for their dedication to the sport and for always striving to propel this sport forward. Thank you to the Victorian Motorsports Crew, what a great facility and what an effort your team has put in to get the track up and running, we look forward to more events in the future . We want to thank the awesome crowd that came to support us and come by the pit area to say hi to the team.
