Ross William Smith's story starts on December 19, 1947, when he was born in Australia to parents William Albert Smith and Shirley Joan Smith. When Ross was 21, he married his late wife, Barbara Kay Mckiernan. Ross went on to work as a mechanic and made his home in Razorback. Ross is loved by family....

In Loving Memory of Ross Smith

The family of Ross Smith warmly invite you to join us as we say farewell to a much-loved Dad, Papa and great-grandfather.

Thursday, 13th August 2026 at 1:00pm
St John’s Anglican Church
6 Menangle Road, Camden

The service will be streamed for those unable to attend.
The link will be posted in the coming days.

A private family wake will follow the service.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate Dad, his life, and his great love of Fiats.

The family would be honoured to have you join them in celebrating Ross’s life and saying a final farewell.

It is with great sadness that I announce the sudden passing of Ross Smith on Monday, 27 July 2026.

There is so much i want to say about my dad, my boss, my best friend, my mentor, but I just don't know where to start.

As I continue Dad's legacy, I can't promise which days I'll be in the workshop over the coming weeks, but I will do my very best to continue serving our customers.

To all our customers and friends, I thank you for your support and understanding during this difficult time.

Funeral details will be shared once arrangements have been made.

History is a little ......
What we've managed to figure out is that these were fitted to a 124BC back in the 80's before being purchased by the current owner who had plans to build a new BC. Have been in storage ever since.
In very good condition, still fitted with 124 rails.

Seats are located at North rocks NSW, will need to be picked up asap.
Asking $1500 for the complete set however he is open to SENSIBLE offers.

It's been a LLLOOOONNNNNGGGGG time since an update on our 2014 Fiat 500 being converted to rear wheel drive. Covid lockdowns and various other things have at times slowed and even halted progress. But progress has been made.
Some photos are a fair bit older than others but it'll give you an idea of what we've been up to with the build.
Suspension subframes are all mounted.
Shock towers fabricated.
Pretty much the narrowest race seat we could find and seat position chosen.
Steering column lengthen and mounted.
And the big one, roll cage is "almost" finished. Still a few bars and gussets to be made and put in place.
And you never know, it might make an early appearance in the not to distant future!

In line with NSW health regulations we unfortunately have taken the step to become closed to counter sales during the current covid lockdown in the Greater Sydney area.
