Hi all,

It been a while since my previous post in January and I need to be more open about what challenges are currently being faced and the impact it’s having on multiple levels.

Just over a year ago my Mum was diagnosed with dementia, a cruel, progressive and demanding disease. My fiancé and I are her enduring guardian and primary caregivers. We’ve been running a race that we’re struggling to keep up with while making sure her home, living standards, safety and support requirements are meet so she can be in her home as long and as comfortable as possible. This has been made more difficult as there is a large area run down farm, cows, horses and some distance between. It’s expected that something will snowball at any moment in this environment.

Am I ok? Of course not, this is not an enjoyable experience, I breakdown regularly, I fall flat on my face, I hit waves of mental nothingness, I fail, I get lots of very little done to a lot of things and the mountain keeps getting bigger. I get up and go again the next day and tackle what ever surprises await.

Business wise, well it’s a tough gig. With everything above going on as a priority, running a business on top and being self employed is not easy. Getting the turnover required to meet the cost of running the business essentials has been difficult, when fuel prices reached $3.30L this is huge weekly financial impact in regional areas where customers travel large distances, this stress flows onto the automotive businesses and I was no exception. Some emergency breakdown repairs saved me just. I have to fight this battle due to the business having some liabilities or I would happily move on from business to focus on caring for family and myself.

For now I will continue to manage what I can within our existing customer base to get where I need or until the pressure becomes to great that I need to walk away for mine and families health.

To those who have been disadvantaged, I’m truly apologetic.

To those still supporting me, I’m truly appreciative.

To those going or been through challenging times, my ears, heart and door are always open.

Thanks,

Mitch

Hi All,

It’s been some time since I’ve posted, truth is I’ve tried many times the past 12 months but I just haven’t been able to find any strength or words.

2025 has been a rough year with family, friends, customers and communities all suffering losses, facing health battles or significant environment threats. I feel like empathy has impacted me very heavily and isn’t letting up.

Personally my circumstances have also been evolving. Over the past year I’ve needed to create space between personal life, business and the reality of becoming a carer in an attempt to keep clarity in my mental health. I’m not going to lie, I’m overwhelmed and things are tough but I have a great support network and a proactive approach to perform this roll the best I can.

Right now I’m coming to grips with the reality that my business, customers and friendships may all be impacted which hurts deeply. Being self employed isn’t easy and being emotionally attached to the fact you have all made it possible makes it hurt a little more.

I’ve been very reluctant to onboard new customers or projects for these reasons and mean no offence to anyone who requires our services.

Ultimately I want 2NVIndustries to be on the other side of this experience but I have no Idea how long that will be or how much I will change as a person, in the meantime I will continue to chip away at the work and make sure the businesses financial needs are meet to keep to 2NVIndustries going.

I wish you all the best for the year ahead, thank you for your support and understanding.

Bending large fuel lines into OE routing for an MPS3, easy? Not really, very awkward and as always when making a custom solutions some element of compromise will become evident. Very grateful the idea is falling into place without to much protest and no wasted materials! Some finer details for fixtures, rub points as well as preparing the ends for hose work still to finalise but at least we know how all that fuel is getting to the engine!

Getting your Mazda3 MPS is serious business! Here’s what you need to know about the MPS3 specific FS2000 in tank fuel sender module. Each unit is tailored specifically to meet the fitting and fuelling demands of each individuals vehicle. Parameters such as HP and boost potential, engine management type with OE type inputs to turn pumps on as well as battery and pcm locations in order to accurately manage and supply fuel with precise, efficient, uninterrupted control at the most demanding levels are all part of delivering arguably the best fuel delivery system the Mazda3 MPS platform has ever seen. Out of sight and out of mind? By keeping components in OE locations this fuel system arrangement avoids routing volatile fuels into cabin mounted surge tanks, isolates noise and allows for direct routing of oversized supply and return lines to the engine bay simplifying overall fitment and functionality while still supporting the factory direct fuel injection system. For those with gen1 MPS3’s we are confident the gen2 tank can be adapted and will be confirming that in the future.

Some very large custom fuel lines in the making! 1/2” feed and return line currently being straightened off the roll before we profile into factory routing locations for that OE look and simplicity! From the custom in tank FS2000 twin pump hanger to the massive FPR10 fuel pressure regulator, this fuel system is both crazy massive and sensible!

Super stressful situations like seized thread extractions from cylinder heads are definitely a little easier to manage with drill bits on hand! Hand drilling a 5mm hole 20mm deep perfectly centered through an M6x1mm bolt is proof of excellent quality and drilling control.

This unplanned mission nearly broke me last week. What started out as a plastic fitting replacement turned into x3 seized M6 thread extractions from both cylinder heads of this Ford FGX XR8 supercharged miami 5L V8. That’s a pretty stressful task, the possibility of this turning into an absolute disaster was pretty high and with professional thread repairers “not interested” I was forced to ride this out to the end! I had a mate make up a special jig from scrap, prepared the tops of the threads with a dremel and cautiously proceeded successfully extracting all 3 bolt threads. Much to my surprise 1 thread extraction was preformed so precise that a helicoil wasn’t required! That’s an M6x1mm bolt with a 5mm drill sent 20mm deep perfectly straight with a hand drill! Full pear shaped meltdown avoided!

The universe has either been trying to guide me or really test and find the breaking point of my personality the last few months.

Despite learning so much about constant good decision making there is never really any letting off or reprieve for a one person business, the challenges will keep coming so staying determined eventually will result in some form of crippling mental fatigue to overcome and I have not been looking after myself well enough to avoid that burnout.

Once you start and establish your own business it requires attention everyday to sustain, there are so many elements! It’s rewarding in some sick way that I can’t explain.

Avoiding burnouts is my major priority currently so I can better maintain my business and my customers 🙂

I’m still in the shop trying to progress on everything 🙂

Except the squeegee, that’s a loosing battle atm.

Pics, world’s largest MPS3 air box in construction and broken supercharger manifold bolts in an Aussie muscle car testing my thread repair capabilities with major consequences lurking.

We’re getting closer to unveiling the fully prepped version of our race car — and trust us, this is more than just a tune-up. We’ve made some serious upgrades across the board — not just in mechanical performance, but also in driver interfaces, cockpit layout, and overall race-readiness.

Since the day we bought this car, there’s always been a bit of mystery behind its build — unknowns in the wiring, suspension, fuel system, power unit and engine management, and soo many other previous mods. That’s not going to cut it anymore.

So, we stripped it down. Everything.
Panels off. Wiring out. Engine, suspension, fuel delivery — literally every single thing inspected and rebuilt or improved where needed. Now we know exactly what this car is capable of, and where its limits lie.

We’re coming back with a fresh machine that we know inside out — and we can’t wait to put it to the test.

Another huge shout out to Mitch from 2NV industries taking such good care with our race car and helping us with the rebuild. He’s got an eye for precision and we couldn’t be more onboard with that approach.

Let’s see what it can really do.
