🚨 TEMU STAGE 3 PACKAGE INSTALLED

This beautiful low-kilometre MK6 Golf R should have been living its best life. Instead, it fell into the hands of the wrong mechanic... and a young owner chasing a little more power.

Like most first-car owners, the mission started simple:

"Let's make it faster."

Unfortunately, somewhere along the way, "performance upgrades" turned into a full-blown Temu Motorsport sponsorship.

The customer was assured genuine parts were being fitted. Genuine... if your definition of genuine comes from a warehouse between AliExpress and Wish.

The result?

💸 Parts slap after parts slap.
💸 Invoice after invoice.
💸 Excuse after excuse.

By the time the dust settled, the owner was over $10,000 lighter and the car still ran like it was protesting every trip down the road.

Eventually, after getting financially mugged by the "performance specialists", the customer pulled his pants back up and brought the car to Eurojap Autowerks.

What did we find?

🔧 A high-pressure fuel pump that wasn't even the same length as a genuine unit... despite the customer paying for a "new genuine pump."

🔧 "Genuine" injectors that were about as genuine as a Rolex sold from the boot of a Camry.

🔧 Incorrect components, poor workmanship, and enough shortcuts to make Google Maps jealous.

We stripped the nonsense out, fitted the correct parts, repaired it properly, and sent it back out into the wild.

Fast forward over 10,000km later...

This Toyota Majesta rolled into Eurojap Autowerks looking like it had just escaped the streets of Tokyo.

Airbag suspension? ✅

😎 MERCEDES GLS500 – ANOTHER ONE THAT "WAS ALREADY FIXED" 😎

We love hearing those famous words...

"The other workshop already fixed it."

Because usually 10 minutes later we're staring at a car that clearly disagrees.

This W166 Mercedes-Benz GLS500 arrived at Eurojap Autowerks sitting lower than the customer's expectations after paying the first invoice.

The owner had already spent a decent amount of money replacing air suspension components, only to discover that the vehicle was still handicapped at the rear and driving around like it had just skipped leg day for the last 10 years.

💸 Wallet deflated.
🚗 Suspension deflated.
😐 Customer deflated.

The only thing that wasn't deflated was the confidence of the workshop that said it was fixed.

…well this customer’s car brought itself to Eurojap after being told the ENGINE had packed its bags and left the chat. 💀

Lucky for him, we don’t diagnose cars with a crystal ball and a parts cannon. After carrying out our own assessment, we found the real culprit was a failed transmission oil cooler — not a blown engine, not a catastrophic failure, and definitely not a “start shopping for a new car” moment. 👀

One proper diagnosis later and the customer went from preparing for financial heartbreak to an affordable repair and back on the road. 💸➡️😎

Not all oils go in the same hole… and this MK7.5 Golf R found that out the expensive way. 🤦‍♂️

Customer came in after having a “diff and Haldex service” elsewhere… except the rear diff was left EMPTY while only the Haldex was serviced. End result? Rear diff ran dryer than the Australian summer and cracked the diff assembly itself. 💸🔥

This is exactly why modern performance cars need QUALIFIED technicians that actually understand the difference between a Haldex unit and the differential sitting beside it. Same area… completely different systems. One mistake = catastrophic damage.

At Eurojap Autowerks we took the customer through the differences step by step, showed the failed assembly firsthand and got the Golf R back on the right path without the guesswork, excuses or “she’ll be right” attitude.

These aren’t your uncle’s AU Falcon diffs anymore. Modern AWD systems require proper procedures, correct fluids and technicians who actually know what they’re looking at.
