Another pollen filter replaced ✅🌿

Out with the old and in with the new!

This one had definitely done its job — packed with dust, dirt, leaves and debris. A fresh cabin/pollen filter helps keep the air coming through your vents cleaner and fresher, while also helping your heater and A/C airflow work properly.

It’s a small part that’s often overlooked during servicing, but as you can see, they can get pretty nasty!

DON’T WAIT FOR YOUR DRIVE BELT TO BREAK

Your engine’s drive belt can operate important components such as the alternator, water pump, power steering pump and A/C compressor, depending on the vehicle.

As belts age they can crack, stretch and deteriorate.

Warning signs can include:

🔧 Squealing or chirping noises
🔧 Visible cracking or fraying
🔧 Belt slipping
🔧 Charging system problems
🔧 Heavy steering on some vehicles

DO YOU KNOW WHEN YOUR TIMING BELT IS DUE?

A timing belt is one service item you don’t want to forget.

Timing belts have a manufacturer-specified replacement interval based on age and kilometres. If the belt fails, some engines can suffer major internal damage.

WHEN WAS YOUR FUEL FILTER LAST CHANGED?

Your fuel filter has an important job — keeping dirt and contaminants out of your fuel system and engine.

As it becomes blocked, you may start to notice:

🔧 Poor acceleration
🔧 Hard starting
🔧 Poor fuel economy
🔧 Engine hesitation under load

On diesel vehicles especially, regular fuel filter replacement is an important part of keeping the fuel system healthy.

Replacing a filter at the correct service interval is a lot cheaper than repairing injectors or other fuel system components.

A few days of general repairs and servicing on this TF Rodeo 🔧

We gave it a service and a good check over, along with a few repairs to keep it going strong.

🔧 New clutch fitted
🔧 Flywheel machined
🔧 Front drive CV shafts replaced
🔧 General service & inspection

The CV boots had split, allowing dirt and grime into the joints, so both front shafts were replaced before they caused any more trouble.

Big shout out to Burson Auto Parts Fyshwick for the speedy parts delivery and getting the flywheel machined for us! 👌

Your front and rear tyres don’t always wear at the same rate.

Regular tyre rotations help spread wear more evenly across all four tyres, while balancing helps prevent vibration caused by an imbalance in the wheel and tyre assembly.

🔧 Chris’ VF V6 in for a logbook service & coolant leak diagnosis!

Chris brought his VF V6 in for its scheduled logbook service, along with a coolant leak that needed some attention.

After pressure testing and inspecting the cooling system, we found two separate leaks:
🔧 Top water outlet gasket leaking
🔧 Thermostat leaking at the rear of the engine, above the transmission

Unfortunately on these VF V6s, getting to the thermostat isn’t a quick job — the transmission has to come out for access.

We pulled the transmission, replaced the thermostat and sorted the coolant leaks, getting the VF back together just in time for Chris to head off to Melbourne tomorrow! 🚗💨

Another one serviced, repaired and ready for the road. ✅
