Port Douglas Boat Hire Departing from the Reef Marina Port Douglas, explore, photograph and fish 15 kilometres of tranquil mangrove forest at your leisure.

Early summer 1989 a young, entrepreneurial woman named Wendy set up a deck chair and umbrella at the marina and begun renting tinnies to passerby’s. So was born the Port Douglas Boat Hire. These days Iain, Sue and Dave run it and we now have stable pontoon boats but, thirty years on, we continue to be one of Ports’ original, most fun and affordable activities. Discover for yourselves 15km of mangrove forest, catch your own dinner or perhaps even spot a sunbaking crocodile.
