You can have well set up suspension, but unless it is maintained (

ie serviced regularly) will render it less effective and limit it's ability to perform at your satisfaction. We can modify and upgrade your suspension for maximum performance. We can also rebuild most, non rebuildable shocks avoiding costly OEM replacements. We can also lower suspension, enabling confidence for the individual rider.

Check out this cool 1986 Suzuki RG250 Gamma that came into the workshop recently!

This classic two-stroke came in for a brand-new YSS Suspension Australia replacement shock, along with a fork service and seal.

It’s always nice to see bikes like this come through the workshop, especially when we are able to help give the suspension a fresh start whilst keeping the character of the original bike.

Did you know that not every shock job through our doors comes from a motorcycle? 😉

Although we don’t commonly work on car suspension, every now and then something a little different comes through the workshop.

This shock came off a race car that had hit a few curbs. Unfortunately, the repeated impact can be enough to bend the shock body.

Here's Pete on the tools this morning straightening this one back out for our client. It may not be a motorcycle, but suspension is suspension, we love it, and certainly enjoy a challenge!

A quick wash goes a long way - clean it up before you bring it in! 🧼

We know your bike is meant to get dirty, that's part of the fun!

But before dropping your suspension into the workshop, we'd really appreciate it if you could give your forks and shock a quick clean.

A clean set of components lets us spot leaks, damaged seals and any other issues much sooner, helping us identify problems before we even begin disassembly.

It also keeps excess mud, sand and grit out of the workshop, reducing the risk of contaminants ending up where they shouldn't while we're working on your suspension.

Thanks for doing your part before you roll through the door. We appreciate it, and so does every bike that comes through the workshop. ❤

On the workbench: These WP forks from a GasGas 450 came into the workshop for a KYB by Technical Touch conversion kit.

Technical Touch is a highly respected Belgian suspension company responsible for KYB's motocross and enduro development, working with many of the world's top MXGP riders.

This conversion combines the flex characteristics of the WP forks, as found on the steel-framed KTM, Husqvarna and GasGas models, with KYB's more progressive damping system, providing improved front-end feel and more consistent performance across a wide range of riding conditions.

For this customer, it was the perfect upgrade. They tackle everything from the Finke Desert Race and enduros to motocross and gymkhana, so having suspension that performs across such a diverse range of riding is essential.

Every rider is different, which is why we don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to suspension. We take the time to understand how and where you ride, then build a setup that's tailored to your needs.

We want your restoration jobs!

Whether it's your first bike, a family heirloom, or that project you've been meaning to finish (or start) for years, Hoeys would love to be part of the journey.

Beyond making sure all the internal components are refreshed, we can re-zinc steel components, re-anodise alloy parts, hard chrome fork tubes and shock shafts, and powder coat springs, all with the goal of returning your suspension to its former glory, or bringing your own vision to life.

Restoration work is something we're genuinely passionate about. In fact, Pete and the boys have a few personal projects scattered throughout the workshop at the moment.
