Date: Saturday 4 April and Sunday 5 April 2026
Location: Sir Ross McLarty Oval, Pinjarra
MAX Pinjarra is a car and community event held over the Easter weekend at Sir Ross McLarty Oval in Pinjarra. People attend MAX Pinjarra to look at vehicles, spend time with family and friends, and enjoy activities across the weekend.
This social story explains what will happen, where things will take place, and what people may see, hear, or experience during the event. Reading this social story before attending can help people feel prepared and more comfortable.
MAX Pinjarra takes place over two days and includes three different parts: the Ute Muster and Swap Meet on Saturday, the Treasure Hunt Cruise on Saturday afternoon, and the Main Car Show and family activities on Sunday.
You can choose to attend one part of the event, one full day, or the whole weekend. It is always okay to change plans, take breaks, or leave early.
MAX Pinjarra is held at Sir Ross McLarty Oval, Pinjarra.
Preparing for the Weekend
MAX Pinjarra is an outdoor event held at Sir Ross McLarty Oval.
To feel more comfortable, it may help to prepare before leaving home. Wearing comfortable walking shoes can make standing and walking easier. Wearing a hat and sunscreen can help protect from the sun. Bringing water can help prevent dehydration.
Bringing cash or a bank card can help when purchasing food or merchandise, although there is no requirement to buy anything.
There is no need to rush at MAX Pinjarra. People can move slowly, take breaks, and do only the activities that feel manageable.
Arriving at Sir Ross McLarty Oval
All parts of MAX Pinjarra take place at Sir Ross McLarty Oval.
When you arrive, parking is free and accessible parking is available close to the entry area.
At the entry gate, volunteers will be waiting to greet people. Volunteers wear high‑visibility vests so they are easy to recognise and approach.
Volunteers can answer questions, give directions, or provide reassurance if needed.
If you have a Companion Card, you can show it at the entry gate so your support person can enter the event with you.
Saturday 4 April 2026 – Exchange Hotel Ute Muster and Swap Meet
The Ute Muster and Swap Meet take place on Saturday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
After entering the oval, utes will be parked on display and people will be walking around the vehicles.
For safety, people should look with their eyes and not touch vehicles unless the owner clearly says it is okay.
The Ute Muster is a relaxed display of many different types of utes, including shiny custom utes, older classic utes, and farm or work utes. All vehicles are parked and stationary.
You may hear engines starting or idling and people talking nearby. If the area feels too loud or busy, you can move to a quieter area, take a break, or leave early if needed.
The Swap Meet is a small market area near the utes. Stalls may sell car parts, tools, accessories, stickers, or collectables. You can browse slowly, walk past stalls, or choose not to buy anything.
At 3:30 pm, Ute Muster presentations will take place. You can watch, stand further back, or move away if you prefer a quieter space.
The Ute Muster and Swap Meet finish at 4:00 pm. You can stay until the end or leave earlier if you wish.
Treasure Hunt Cruise – Saturday 4 April 2026
The Treasure Hunt Cruise begins at 4:00 pm on Saturday.
Before the cruise starts, cars will arrive and line up. Drivers may speak with volunteers and some engines may start or rev, which can make the area louder and busier.
At 4:00 pm, cars will leave slowly and safely, either one at a time or in small groups.
You may choose to watch the cars drive past, move further away to reduce noise, or leave once the cruise begins. You do not need to participate in the cruise to enjoy this part of the event.
Sunday 5 April 2026 – MAX Pinjarra Main Car Show
The Main Car Show takes place on Sunday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Sir Ross McLarty Oval.
Cars are parked and not moving, and people walk around the oval to view the vehicles at their own pace.
There may be announcements from an MC over speakers, which can sometimes be loud. Food and drink vendors, toilets including accessible toilets, and First Aid services will be available onsite.
People’s Choice voting closes at 1:30 pm and awards are presented at 2:30 pm. You can choose to vote, watch the awards, or leave before the awards begin.
A Kids’ Zone is available on Sunday. This may include animals, games, activities, and car simulation races. Some areas may be noisy or busy, and quieter areas of the oval are available for breaks.
Additional activities on Sunday may include lawn mower races, which can be loud and smell of fuel, drone photography, and a visit from the Easter Bunny.
Only registered service animals are permitted at the event.
Support and End of the Event
Volunteers wearing high‑visibility vests are available throughout the weekend to help.
First Aid staff are onsite if medical assistance is needed.
The event finishes at 3:00 pm on Sunday. You can stay until the end or leave earlier if you feel tired or need quiet time.
MAX Pinjarra is designed to be a welcoming and flexible event. It is always okay to take breaks, ask for help, and make choices that feel right for you.
