At Wide Bay Toyota, we’re always looking for ways to reduce our environmental impact and create a more sustainable future for our Fraser Coast community.
☀️ Harnessing Solar Power
We’re reviewing options to increase our solar capacity and make greater use of renewable energy.
💡 Switching to LED
Nearly all of our fluorescent lighting has now been replaced with energy-efficient LED globes, helping us reduce energy consumption.
📉 Reducing Our Energy Use
For 2026/2027, our goal is to reduce electricity usage from 145,000 kWh to 140,000 kWh.
🚗 Thinking About Tomorrow
We’re also considering energy efficiency and lower-emission options when making future purchases.
Every small change adds up. 🌏💚
We’re proud to be taking practical steps towards a cleaner, greener future for Hervey Bay, Maryborough and the Fraser Coast.

At Wide Bay Toyota, we’re committed to reducing our environmental footprint and finding smarter ways to manage water and waste across our Hervey Bay and Maryborough operations.
🌱 WHAT WE’RE DOING
💧 Investing in high water-efficiency equipment and fixing leaks to reduce unnecessary water use.
♻️ 18,000L of waste oil recycled last year.
📦 585,2000kg of cardboard recycled last year.
🔄 Where possible, we also donate end-of-life equipment, furniture and fittings for reuse rather than sending them to landfill.
🎯 OUR 2026/27 GOALS
💧 Reduce water usage from 1,985kL → 1,587kL
♻️ Reduce general waste from 440,000kg → 430,000kg
We know meaningful change happens one step at a time — and we’re always looking for new ideas.
