A big thankyou to Sundowner Caravan Hire and to Laura.
We hitched the caravan up and headed to Exmouth for 2 weeks.
The Jayco Expanda was so comfortable plenty of room inside, easy to move around and with a little help of using a mattress topper the bed was incredibly comfortable.
When towing the van you didn’t even feel it behind you. Also the easy of setting up the van was fabulous.
Laura had included everything that you needed inside which made cooking a breeze.
We had the van that had the awning and our friends hired the van with an annex we found that they worked really together.
Make sure you hirer the sola panels they work a treat !
The fridge was amazing great size with a freezer and worked off electric or gas so you were never without a working fridge.
A big thanks to Laura as she spent time explaining the in’s and out’s of the caravan in layman’s terms which we appreciated.
Thankyou Sundowner and we look forward to hiring a caravan from you again for our next big trip!

What caravan should you hire for your next holiday?
How far are you planning to go?
With WA being one of the biggest states in the world, some of our best holiday
spots take a long drive to get there, and it’s important to consider the distance
you’re travelling when deciding on a caravan.
Some popular spots and the distances:
 Coral Bay is 12.5 hours from Sundowner Caravan Hire. You will want
some rest spots along the way, or make an overnight stop in Geraldton,
Kalbarri or Carnarvan.
 Margaret River is around a three hour trip, or head further to Albany for
a six hour drive.
Considering the distance, the bigger the van the more fuel you may use and a
little bit of extra time to get where you want to go
What do you want to see?
There’s a huge amount of WA, or even Australia, to see and a caravan can
give you the flexibility to see most of it.
You can head north and experience the amazing national parks of the
Kimberley. Visit sites with educational experiences of indigenous Australia, or
just a little bit south is one the word’s best reefs in the Ningaloo Reef.
Head east and experience the Golfields and Wheatbelt, and don’t forget about
the incredibly popular “down south from Bunbury, Margaret River and down to
Albany or Esperance.
There’s that much to see and do, you might want one of our caravans for a
while!
Who’s going with you?
Is it just you and your partner, or are you getting away with the whole family.
Depending on how many people are going will determine how many berths
you need in your caravan. Think comfort, rather than how many people you
can squeeze in.
Differences in the Sundowner range
 Jayco Expanda 5 & 6
o The Expanda is as it’s name suggests and “expands” at the top.
Allows easier storage and can aid in fuel consumption with a
more streamlined shape. Depending on the 5 berth or 6 berth is
simply the number of beds available within the caravan.
 Jayco Starcraft 4 berth
o Thought to be an “easy-tow” this caravan is great for families.

5 reasons why hiring a caravan will be your best ever holiday

Flexibility to go wherever you want
Unless you’re willing to hire a car after a long flight, chances are you’re going to be
spending your time in the city you’ve just arrived in. But, who wants to do that when
there’s so much more to see when you can connect up a caravan and simply drive
north, south, east or west to the next amazing destination.
There’s so much to see and do on your holiday, but you can’t venture to far in a hotel!

Holiday Parks
Family time is the best time and some of the most enjoyable and relaxing moments
happen when the kids are busy and the parents can sit back and socialize. Holiday
parks provide both a great place to park the caravan, but also an environment for
kids and parents alike to spend their time with activities and meet new people.
Every holiday park will offer up different things, with bouncy castles, movie nights,
kids play areas, basketball courts and more. There’s always something to do and
something for everyone.

Taking your own place with you
There’s no need to be bunkered down in one hotel, or think that you need to move
from bed to bed. A caravan provides the opportunity to bring the hotel with you.
There’s countless places to go around WA and Australia and tend to be much
cheaper than a hotel room.

You have your own!
There’s no more comfortable car than your own, and why worry about a car that
you’re renting when you can hop into what you’re used to.

WA is a great place to see
Our grand state is the biggest in Australia, and one of the biggest in the world. With so much of WA to explore, a caravan gives you the best opportunity to see as much
of it as you can.
Head north passed Geraldton, Canarvon, Exmouth and more and experience almost
year round warm weather. The Ningaloo Reef is accessible from the beach, or boat
with great fishing and diving. There’s also indigenous landmarks (through the right permissions) that are older than Australia’s settled history.
Head east and get a taste of the mining that really put WA on the map. The country
towns in the Goldfields and Wheatbelt give an insight into our states early times. Or
head south into one of the world’s best win region, that offers much more than just
wine.
