We send our condolences to our long time friends the Beauchamp family who recently lost a brother and son Rob.

His Torana was hands down one of the coolest groundbreaking builds to hit the track, and streets of Brisbane back in the day. And no doubt inspired many people to push forward with their own projects.

He was ahead of him time and the people he had around that also shared in that passion, shows not only in the Torana but his VL that came not long after.

Well what can I say 🤦‍♂️we ruffled a few feathers with the torana and had fun so why not do it again. Lol. I have always wanted to run pro stock as that is what the commodore was built for and as it was number 12 and Rob’s (Tucker) was number 13. And I grew up in those times, worked and drag raced together. But sometimes life changes and you move on. So when Ben my nephew sent me the add I knew it our time to bring her back to her back to her former glory and be fast and win again. She will look exactly the same as the photo with a Buick and 5 speed. So a few more 🍻in front of me but I hope you guys enjoy this journey as well. Because everything else I work on in the shop is secret 🐿️but this is our show so I will show you everything. Any questions please ask and if you have interior or under bonnet shots it will be very appreciated. Thank you

Before the rain set in we got a couple of last laps in with the Studebaker before it takes off to its new home over east.

We can’t thank the Moresby family enough for allowing us to be apart of the journey and team for more years than we can count!

We wish the new owners the best of luck and can’t wait to see the direction the big girl will head in 💪🏼

The hatchback went rounds on the weekend to meet up with Ben in the Outlaw Radial Final. The mustang took the win and you never mind coming in second to such a well deserved team. With a strong field it made for some great and close racing!

Through out the day the passenger door delaminated and went sky high, as well as the Throttle Position Sensor giving up on life but that’s racing. The crew pulled together got it sorted asap, as well as the other teams lending a hand which we greatly appreciate!
We still managed to get some solid numbers including a 7.47 at 184 mph with a 1.15 60ft.

Connor drove it like a absolute champion as per usual, Jeff on the laptop making sure we had the best chance possible to get down smoothly even with a humid day. And all members of the Begley and Black family keeping the logistics and maintenance in top shape!

A well known Lime Green Torana came through the shop for a shock upgrade and fresh set of wheelie bars to be mounted.

Not a lot of room under these narrow rails so every things was re shuffled including the parachute mount, both chassis / diff shock mounts, shock sensors and new brackets for the wheelie bars.

A much lighter spring and adjustment in the shocks will now give the McClure Motorsport team a new avenue of tuning to work with.

The hatchback’s transformation all came to life to make this weekends Street Outlaws first round in Australia and we had the chance to run Murder Nova twice on Friday.
In the second round, Conner gapped him hard, held it flat and drove right out of his life!

Getting a win for the Aussie side was a huge highlight for the team 💪🏼

The little torana didn’t miss a beat all weekend and that’s a testament to all the hands involved. Begs, Conner, Jeff, Johnny, Lundy, Shane, Phil, Sandra, Jane and Emma we thank you for every effort in many shapes that helped the car run so well! It takes a village and BMRC is lucky to have you all be apart of it

The no prep track style is no joke, it’s something that we are not use to and have no experience in. Considering those circumstances for not only us, but many other cars, there were some very sketchy passes. We learnt a lot about the car in that style of racing on that small tyre. The Americans that have that down to a fine art, we tip our hat.

We are going to keep the weekend rolling and stay true to our statement that the Hatchback is a multi purpose all rounder.
So last night the suspension was changed and tyre switch was made to a 275 radial to get some testing in today. We want see what it’s capable of in the radial world so stay tuned!
