With the goal of minimising drag and maximising downforce, the team works to improve vehicle handling and achieve faster lap times.

TinkerTechAU is an Australian supplier of high quality and affordable lithium-ion batteries. They offer a wide variety of battery cells that have been put to the test in countless industrial and commercial applications.

TinkerTechAU has kindly provided the Curtin Motorsport Team with a generous supply of their Molicel lithium-ion battery cells. We have utilised these cells in the successful construction of our first fully custom battery pack. We’ve already validated the performance of our very first segment and have since manufactured three more!

The team is incredibly grateful for the support provided by Altium each year. Altium provides the team with cutting-edge PCB and schematic design software.

This software, Altium Designer, is used by us in the design of all electronic systems within the car. Altium Designer provides an easy interface between schematics, PCBs, and even CAD when necessary.

Meet the 2026 Autonomous Team!

The goal of Autonomous is to build a self-driving vehicle that relies on sensors for perception and localisation. This is algorithmically translated into path planning, which the driverless vehicle performs.

With Autonomous being introduced as an official area this year, the goal of the team is to lay the foundations for next year’s full-scale prototype.

Meet our Upper Management for 2026!

Our Technical Directors, Saxon and Jack, are responsible for the “why” behind this year’s technical development and work alongside Technical Area Leads to make key design choices.

Declan, our Business Director, oversees the entirety of business operations, and ensures that progress remains on track to hit this year’s goals with the Business Managers.

As Upper Management, all three members form the backbone of the team and drive the team’s direction towards promoting team culture, technical advancements and overall performance.
