Frequently Asked Questions

1. What trailer plug connection do your floats have?
All our floats have a 7 pin round plug, however, we have adaptors to 7 pin flat/rectangle if required. We find the majority of cars have these connections, however, if your car has anything different to these, you will need to bring your own adaptor.

2. Do you have any angle load floats to hire?
No, angle load floats are wider than straight loads. Therefore, they are heavier and require electric brakes. We would only be able to hire to clients with vehicles that have electric brakes fitted. Therefore, we have opted to only hire out straight load floats, which have hydraulic brakes.

3. Do you do half day hire rates?
No, all hires are charged per day. The period of hire is from 6pm the evening before day of hire to 6pm on day of hire. Pick up and drop off times are flexible within these times. It is impractical for us to offer half day hire rates.

4. Do you have a cancellation policy?
We do not charge a cancellation fee at this stage, however, we request that any cancellations are given ASAP. A majority of weekends are fully booked in advance. If we don’t have adequate notice of cancellations, we are unable to hire to another client.

5. Where is pickup?
Pick up address will be given when booking is made. We are located at the back of Wanneroo.

6. Do your floats have storm doors?
All our Olympic Royal floats have storm doors available on request. Please note when booking if you would like the storm doors fitted for your hire period.

7. Do your floats have portable yards fitted?
Our dark grey Olympic Royal float has portable yards fitted. If you require yards, this is the float you must book and you must make a note when booking, so we can ensure they are on for the hire.

8. How do I book for a period longer than one day?
If you require hire for longer than a day, please book via text message to 0419 933 137.

9. What time can I pick up?
Pick up can be the evening before day of hire, after 6pm. Or, if you are picking up on the day of hire, you may do so from 6am to 12noon. Pick up outside these hours on request.

Our floats are regularly maintained throughout the year, plus they get a major service each January. Our Olympic Royal has just come home from the mechanics with brand new rims and tyres.
