Quick KTM 85sx crankshaft rebuild. These bolts holding the stuffers in come loose on these from the factory. They must be checked every time you do a top end. This crank came from a local moto shop. If you’re a shop owner and need cranks built or cylinder heads serviced etc hit me up, I offer trade discount for those in the industry. Or if you want to build your own engine but don’t have the skills to do the crank hit me up.

Late one last night getting this little KT100s built. Didn’t get a cylinder back from honing till 430pm, then had to measure and port, machine a cylinder head, rebuild a carby set up ready to run it this morning. Made it to bed for midnight.

2007 YZ250 in for some love. Customer is doing the top end himself, so we tore down the engine and inspected everything.
For an old girl she was in great condition other than some wear to the crank shaft and the gearbox. Swapped out the stopper lever in the gearbox mechanism for a newer updated version, undercut the gearbox and fitted a complete crank along with new bearing sand seals etc. I’d usually re-use the stock crank and press a new rod in but this one had a lot of wear on the shafts where the R/H main sits which is common for these. Once again cheers to for the mint job blasting these cases and the quick turnaround. Don’t worry guys, the old clutch and ignition covers are just on to keep her clean until the customer fits some aftermarket ones.

Husqvarna TC85 engine buttoned up and ready to head back up north to Broome. Full engine rebuild accompanied with some vapour blasting to get rid of the red tan that comes with living up north. Thanks to for getting the engine looking clean again.

Fresh KTM 250sx engine ready to roll out the door. This will be slotted into an outlaw dirt kart. Full race spec build on this one along with some Cerakote to keep things looking nice, she’ll also be fed by a Keihin PWK38 air striker carb. Big thanks to for trusting me with her!

Had a bit of time up my sleeve this morning so I decided to make a couple of dial gauge holders for measuring piston height. Still need to cut some threads on them for spark plug threads and get some dial gauge extensions but they’re basically finished. This will definitely make life easy when setting ignition timing. If you want one made up hit me up and we can discuss your application.
