Got a little bit loose during one of the slalom’s at last weekends events. About 50cm to the right of that dirt is a whole row of wooden pylons so i was definitely a bit tense when i felt the car start sliding 🤣

I -barely- kept the front wheel on, riding the edge between the bitumen and the grass (hence the insane steering inputs). The rear wheel dropped in to the grass and started kicking out further.

The important thing my foot stayed planted the whole time and i could pull out of it!!!

An absolutely HUGE thank you to Jason Smithdale for dropping by today and helping me rip the motor out of the Swamp Puppy MX5 so i can get started fixing the rust and painting the engine bay!

I’ve gotta say, the NA MX5 is definitely easier to work on than the civic. Not to say the civic is hard, it’s much the opposite. It’s just even easier than that!

I’m so looking forward to getting this car back on the road, and on the track.

3 years ago! I always love seeing this photo come up in my memories as it was from the day i got to meet Takuya & Jomoto from Spoon - this photo of my car was taken by 甲斐 琢也 ! This was right after the Pinkvic was painted and before i started racing it… so the paint is still in nice condition 🤣😁

In other news, we have gotten a new Front Yard vehicle to join the Pinkvic and Prelude in their motorsport adventures - a 1990 NA MX5!

I’ve never raced a rear-wheel drive car before so i’m sure there will be plenty of funny videos coming from this thing. But in the meanwhile, it’s getting stored on a friend’s farm until i have some time to work on it!
