Adrian's E1 Ve gts back for some more power. This time Adrian asked us to give his 243 headed ls2 inconspicuous under the radar power. He asked for No audible cam exhaust note or as little as possible. But still wanted our usual levels of power and Torque with the n/a ls.
Under the hood This Gts runs a well used 120,000km travelled Ls2.
18 months ago here with just bolt on's headers, high flow cats, dual 3 inch exhaust otr and our mafless tuning it made 411rwhp and 546rwnm on our hub dyno. That was with the stock ls2 cam and stock 243 cathederal port heads.
This time around. We fitted one of our cam combinations with some smarts to make significantly More Torque down low , more power up stairs yet retain the subtle idle Adrian wanted. Then cut ptvc for inlet valves only and hand ported the 243 heads to suit our lobe profiles in this ls2.
The before and after result is documented on the same dyno..The hp and torque gap is always what it is if using the same measuring stick.
The result is a sedate idle , No loss of torque off the cam huge gains across the entire rpm range now making 579rwnm and 475rwhp.
