10 years ago this week, Bare Metal Resto's was born. What better way to mark the occasion than to have one of our cars featured in this months Street Machine magazine. Mitch's EH came to us in early 2017 for rust repairs and a host of custom mods that include custom bonnet hinges, squared off door corners and one piece bumpers. On a recent trip to the Red Centre Nats, the EH took out awards for top bodywork and top interior. The EH is a testament to Mitch's perseverance and a credit to everybody involved in the build.

This is Guys HJ47 Landcruiser I did the rust repairs on back in early 2015. What started as a quick tidy up of a relatively solid 40 series, soon spiralled into a body off, ground up, nut and bolt restoration carried out by Guy and a few helpers. It's now powered by a 12HT diesel and auto transmission from a 60 series cruiser, has air con, power steering and a heap of other features those in the know, with a keen eye will notice. The final result is a credit to Guy and has to be one of the tidiest 40's around.

Happy Australia day all.

Dusted off the bare metal Valiant today. First time out in over 12 months now.
She still scrubs up alright, considering she's been without paint for the last 9 years.
For those who don't know, the Valiant was my way of displaying the quality of panel work I was capable of when I started the business back in 2014. After many months of cutting out rust, making patches, welding and filing, this is the end result.
Nothing hidden, no bog, no bu****it.
What you see, is what you get.

This is the turret repair on Graham's LJ Torana. We were lucky enough to have a donor section for the leading edge, which made the repair much easier. New drip rails were made and the skin was spot welded back in position.

Somewhere along the line the coupe had a decent whack in the right front. While it had been "repaired" and was driven around like this for quite some time, the rail was still kinked and the front end was way out of square.
