Maxfield's Towing Bridgetown

So this was my "work place" for 20 or so minutes this afternoon. Not my preferred place to do my job, on a bend, over a hill on a fast stretch of South West Highway. I did everything I could to make the site safe. Witches hats out, beacons on, hazard lights and headlights on and high visibility shirt on. The only thing I could have done to make it safer would have to not been there. My customer did not choose to breakdown there. To those drivers who chose to not slow down and move to the right so as to not give adequate room for me to do my job just spare a thought. Spare a thought for my wife and family should their husband and father not come home tonight. I, and all the other tow truck operators deserve the opportunity to go home at the end of their day not end up in the hospital or worse, the morgue. Thankyou for your time.

It's amazing how much old "treasure" there is still tucked away in sheds and loitering in paddocks. Picked up this 1940's Fordson Thames truck up for a customer on Friday out Donnybrook way, now residing in Bridgetown.

Westcoast trailbike park's old Bedford truck on it's way to it's final resting place in Kirup. It will now be an entry statement at the front gate. Now when I go there my bikes won't be the only old things there!

Truck's feeling a bit "tyred". I know, bad joke! This load of old earthmover tyres, kindly donated by Ben Davies at Davmech in Bridgetown, is destined for the Westcoast trailbike park in Kirup for their upgrade. Big things happening out there!

Thankyou to the chap from Boyup Brook who stopped to render assistance and provided my phone number to a customer who had broken down on the Boyup Brook Rd this morning. My customer, Matt, was very appreciative.
