If your favourite Forester, Impreza, liberty or outback has suffered an engine failure, we can help!

We have a range of engines options from basic rebuilt engines to reconditioned & remanufactured engines.

Our factory has been remanufacturing EJ & EZ series engines for over 15 years, we are now increasing our range to the all FA & FB series engines.

All ADS engines include upgraded tri-metal bearings, multi-layer steel head gaskets, with our Level 2 & 3 engines featuring our proven piston and ring machining process to reduce oil consumption and improve reliability.

Lionel’s Pristine GF8🔥

Lionel came to ADS with one of the cleanest GF8’s that we have seen, and we have had some clean GC8’s come through the shop.

The brief was to improve everything from here, using later model engine and gearbox components to provide reliability, drivability, power, presentation and off course, inject the ADS factor!

We settled on many upgrades, including but not limited to:

✅ ADS Stage 3, 2.1 stroker EJ207,
✅ Twin scroll Blouch Turbo 1.5xtr
✅ Restored inlet manifold painted in STi wrinkle red
✅ PWR intercooler
✅ Top feed fuel injector conversion
✅ Drive by wire throttle body conversion
✅ Coil over plug conversion
✅ All controlled by the best bang for buck Link ECU G4x.

Paired with our ADS short ratio hybrid 6-speed conversion, and custom clutch this GF8 drives as well as it looks!

After the initial on 98 tune making 240kw at the wheels, we are looking forward to the flex tune.

Mr Blackadder arrived with a hole in his engine… and left with a smile on his dial.

This brand new BRZ came to ADS needing a fresh start, so we built a custom FA24 to handle whatever comes next.

These new BRZs have really grown on the workshop, and this one received the full ADS treatment.

Engine highlights:
• Carrillo rods and CP-Carrillo pistons +2mm kit
• King Racing bearings
• ARP 2000 head studs
• HKS head gaskets
• Conical valve springs with Ti retainers
• Denstoj rocker retainer kit

Supporting mods:
• Setrab engine oil cooler
• Custom auto transmission oil cooler (Yes she’s an auto!)
• Exhaust manifold ceramic coated by Hi Octane Performance Coatings

Final tune by Got It Rex to follow.

X Shift's new helical gearset assembled and installed at our workshop.

Rob's Hawkeye STi with his new X Shift sequential is off to our partners Powertune Australia for shift cuts.

We are not sure what is more pretty, Rob's legs or the carbon fibre strain gauge!🤤

A little teaser of our last sequential gearbox assembly.

Lance from Techworkz Automotive has been putting his new short ratio X Shift Gearboxes sequential through it’s paces and winning races!

Completed with a DCCD, X-shift transfer gears and strain gauge, these gearboxes are incredibly smooth and efficient.

Another year has flown by, and they seem to go by quicker every time.

After a big year of working hard, we’ll be taking some time to be with family and loved ones as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

We will be closed from Saturday 20 December and will reopen on Monday 5 January 2026.

ADS transaxle gearbox in a custom Baja 1000 buggy.

We build and assemble hundreds of engines and gearboxes each year, and not all of them stay in Subaru's.

Our components power all kinds of machines and projects around the world.
This one was too cool not to share: a fleet of proper Baja1000-style dune buggies based in Switzerland & Italy, built to take on both sand dunes and snow.

This transaxle gearbox was assembled with premium hardware supplied by our mates at Subarugears Australia, a perfect combination of precision engineering and off-road adventure.
