A customer asked for some work to be done on his 1983 MHR 900.
He asked for the electrical system to be overhauled and a Hand Held Dyno ignition system to be installed along with the carbies cleaned and checked and whatever else needed to be done to make it reliable and most importantly easy to start as his health was declining and he was getting weaker.

Sadly my customer’s health declined even further and very quickly after completing the work he passed away. I’ve now been asked by his partner to assist in the sale of the bike.
Here is a rundown of the bike and work done that will hopefully satisfy any buyer.

Carbies were removed, stripped and cleaned and new needles and seats and other parts changed.
New throttle cables.
HHD ignition system installed.
New battery sourced.
Fusebox changed for very nice high tech one and relay installed in starting circuit . New reg /rec.
Wiring revised and essential connections soldered not crimped.
I also installed a ( very expensive!) side stand and so the bike now has side and centre stands.

The tyres are AVON and I was told they were new when bought the bike shortly before I worked on it.
There are braided lines on the brakes front and rear.
Very nice Tarozzi clip-ons that raise the handlebar position have been added to the bike but the originals will be supplied with the sale.
A gear gazer from VeeTwo is installed. The original cover will come with the sale.

It looks like the bike has a complete stainless steel Staintune exhaust and muffler system.
The bodywork has a couple of cracks but the paint is impressive and the bike looks fantastic.
The engine is quiet and very smooth and strong . It must have had a complete rebuild but I never discussed that with my customer .
Test riding after doing the work was impressive. Handling spot on and great power delivery.
Bike starts first kick from cold and this can be demonstrated.

It has rego until 02/09/2026 and a roadworthy will be supplied if sold within QLD after deposit taken.

Hey Motorcycle people,

Moving is never easy but I’ve injured my back and so being given notice makes it all that much harder.
I have to vacate by May 1st.

No rental agency would accept me or possibly even have what I need so I am appealing to all I know, can you think and ask around for somewhere for me to move to?

I need a workspace and am happy to live in that space as well if need be..
Shared house , whatever, not scared of anything unusual.

‘The Wiz’ needs more speed and so a 520 31 tooth blank sprocket was sourced from John Titman racing and I asked my friend Steve to machine it to suit the rear setup as nothing is standard of course👍
Fantastic work by Steve a new outrigger bearing and it’s smooth as with some more to speed for the Festival of Speed at Eastern Creek raceway in Feb!
