PAYNESVILLE COMPLETE BOATING SERVICES
We are a growing company looking to hire a fulltime experienced shipwright / boat builder and a Marine Yard Hand.
If your training and talents cover boats and the broader marine industry, this the opportunity to work among marine professionals at one of the Paynesville’s premier maintenance and service facilities
Based in Paynesville in the heart of the marine precinct, the successful applicant will be working on various power and sailing vessels ranging in size up to 50 feet.
Experience with power tools is essential. You will need to be an enthusiastic, level-headed team member who can multi-task and remain focused under pressure.
Ours is a fast-paced environment which requires lateral thinking and the capacity to prioritize and work to strict schedules, all the time with safety and precision as your main motivators.
Hours are Monday to Friday from 8am – 4:00 pm with flexibility as required.
Key Duties will include:
Structural and cosmetic repairs of both fiberglass and timber boats
Paint work from antifouling to high level clear finishes
12 volt electrical work
Removal of shafts and rudders
Water leak identification
Through hull fitting installation and replacements
Refits and rebuilds
The successful applicant will need the following attributes and qualification
Be focused and hard-working
Have a vehicle and a marine license (or willing to Obtain)
Their own tools (or willing to obtain)
Hold a Construction Induction Safety certificate White Card and knowledge of safe work practices
Be punctual and keep good documentation of jobs done
Remuneration
Package is hourly rate minimum 35 hours per week + super + holidays and sick leave
