Over 40 metres of state-of-the-art finishing equipment, purpose-built around the unique requirements of Bendigo Heritage Tramways’ historic depot. 🚋

The complete fitout begins with a sandblasting booth measuring over 17 metres long, followed by a dedicated parts spray booth with an adjacent paint mixing room, and finishes with an XL spray booth stretching 16.6 metres.

Each booth is connected end to end, with custom roller doors incorporated throughout to maximise internal space, access and usability, while allowing the tram tracks to run directly through the equipment.

Working within a heritage-listed building meant every element had to be carefully designed around the existing structure—preserving the character and history of the depot while delivering a modern, large-scale facility built for the continued restoration of Bendigo’s heritage trams.

MN Semi Downdraft - 18 metres loooong 🚛

A purpose-built setup for Lucas Truck Repairs, featuring an MN Semi Downdraft Truck Booth measuring over 18m long, 5.5m wide and 4.5m high, along with a dedicated paint mix room.

With the booth integrated into the existing factory, the MN team tailored the design around the site. The exhaust chamber was constructed externally behind the rear wall, while the booth doors were designed to fold away and maintain clear access through the existing roller door.

Based in Toowoomba, Lucas Truck Repairs specialise in panel and paint work for heavy vehicles and machinery, along with restorations, fabrication and modifications.

Showcasing how MN fit-outs are designed to suit the site and its requirements, rather than being restricted by them.

CS&G Signs x MN Full Downdraft ✴️

CS&G are a Melbourne-based business specialising in signage solutions from conception through to completion.

A key consideration during the design was maintaining full operation of the existing overhead crane. To achieve this, one of the exhaust systems incorporates custom-fabricated bends that route the ductwork over the spray booth, providing the clearance required for the crane to continue travelling over the booth.

A great example of how MN experience tailors each build around the site, workflow and customer requirements.

A complete MN Spraybooths fit-out delivered for Dent Revolution in Adelaide.🛠

Dent Revolution is a family-owned automotive repair business specialising in paintless dent and hail repairs, along with a range of vehicle cosmetic repair services.

The installation includes an above-ground Full Downdraft spray booth, paint mixing room and preparation bay—carefully designed to maximise the available workshop space and create an efficient workflow between each area.

The paint mixing room was positioned directly behind the spray booth, while the preparation bay ceiling was suspended from the building structure to maintain clear access and make the best use of the space below.

Another purpose-built solution designed and delivered by the MN Spraybooths team.

This MN 3 Series features dual front entry doors, each fitted with inlet control filters and viewing glass—providing controlled airflow, clear visibility and convenient access for a wide range of conservation projects.

Another quality MN Spraybooths installation completed for Allard Paint Distributors in Canberra.🎨

This in-ground Full Downdraft spray booth features 10 five-tube LED side lights, providing strong, consistent illumination across the vehicle and helping painters achieve greater visibility, colour accuracy and finish quality throughout the application process.

Let's further highlight the completed Yacht Paint Application Center delivered for AkzoNobel at Gold Coast City Marina.

The YPAC is a purpose-built technical training and product education facility designed for yacht coating applicators, distributors and industry professionals throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

The facility brings practical application areas and classroom-based learning together under one roof.

The centre will support training across the complete yacht coating process, including surface preparation, priming, filling, topcoat application, maintenance and repair.

It also incorporates AkzoNobel’s latest digital training technology, including the VR Spray Gun, XpertEye headset and 3D Visualizer, helping applicators develop their skills and achieve consistent, high-quality finishes.

Thank you to AkzoNobel for partnering with MN Spraybooths on this project. We are incredibly proud to have been a part of such an important facility for the marine industry and to see the completed YPAC now open and ready to support the next generation of yacht coating professionals.

MN is proud to have partnered with AkzoNobel to deliver the fit-out for the new Yacht Paint Application Center at Gold Coast City Marina.⚓

This collaborative, multi-company project brought together specialist trades, equipment suppliers and industry expertise to create a purpose-built facility for the yacht coatings sector.

As part of the project, MN Spraybooths delivered:

• An MN Semi Downdraft Spray Booth featuring extra-large viewing panels
• An MN Preparation Bay, also featuring extra-large viewing panels on each side
• An MN XL Paint Mix Room with a double-sided stainless-steel, three-stage ventilated island bench

All associated machinery was custom-designed, manufactured and installed to accommodate the mezzanine above. This included custom mezzanine mounting arrangements and directional ductwork designed specifically around the facility layout.

MN is proud to see the completed facility now open and operational!
