There’s something interesting that happens when people are looking for a new service.

They don’t just buy the product… they seek trust.
Trust from friends, businesses, dealerships and the community around them. Reputation matters!

Recently, we had Corey’s new GWM Cannon in from Roadlinez, finished in the factory Stealth Grey matte paint. Matte finishes like this look incredible, but they also come with a unique challenge.

Unlike traditional gloss paint systems, matte paint cannot be polished to remove swirls or imperfections. Once damaged, the finish is extremely difficult to correct, which makes proper surface protection absolutely essential from day one.

After delivery, Corey reached out to his dealership for guidance on where to have the vehicle protected properly. Not only did they need a professional-grade coating compatible with matte paint with absolutely no added gloss or shine, they had also contacted another local business who admitted they simply couldn’t guarantee a swirl or streak-free result coating on this type of finish.

After a morning toolbox meeting, the team at reached out to me and asked if we could handle it.

Absolutely ✅️ In fact, I already had another matte Cannon booked for the following Thursday.
The funny part?
Once they checked the customer’s name, it turned out to be the exact same client they were trying to help.

Last week was a big moment for Darkside. 💙

Eric and I spent the week deep in flat glass and vehicle tinting, teaching the next generation how to do it right. Watching someone learn the craft, ask questions, improve each day, and genuinely enjoy the process reminded me why I started this journey in the first place.

The customers we worked with were awesome, supportive and welcoming the entire week, which made the experience. We even managed an early finish one day and celebrated it the right way with a KFC lunch 😂🍗

What started as work experience honestly lit a flame in me for the next steps ahead. It showed me how much I enjoy leading, teaching and building something bigger than just myself.

Darkside has always been about doing things properly, and this week made me realise I'm building something beyond just me.

Teaching the future starts with inspiring today 👊

We’ve been working through the area with our neutral range, using our Llumar Neutral 20% on these garage doors. It’s always a clean, consistent choice when everything needs to feel uniform and intentional from both inside and out.

Neutral 20 keeps the view sharp and natural
Colours stay true, depth stays crisp, and there’s no heavy tint effect. From the outside, the reflection is soft compared to a silver mirrored film, helping the area feel more open and balanced rather than closed off.
