I know there are a few customers that are curious to know where life's new direction has landed me, So here is an update 👍🏻

Today marked the the start of a new career.
Many of you know that we recently shut the doors to our beloved business as a result of COVID-19.

In the background of of all that Stress, Anger and Uncertainty I started working on a “Plan B”.

"Plan B" Commenced today with my first day of induction, Moving on from this induction I will be returning to Latchford Barracks in Victoria to deliver units of competency to the Australian Defence Force Apprentices as a Teacher.

I’m hoping I can pass on some of my knowledge, passion & principals I value within my trades.

Once again this has been a HUGE process and at a high level of stress, I would like to thank my close friends and family for the continued support. 👍🏻

The kids have enrolled and returned to school and doing well.
Courtney Gyoles has secured a casual nursing job and has a few interviews this week for permanent roles. 🥰

So with that ill sign of this post with a motivational quote;

”When one door closes, another opens but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one that has opened for us”

Alternator Changed on a Kia Carnival.
We also replaced the rocker cover gaskets as the original alternator was not charging we suspect that the damage was caused by oil leaking directly onto the unit.

Replaced alternator and restored alternator charge rate 👍🏻

A/C Diagnosis & Repair
This is why you should always look for the “Tick”.

Benefits of using ARC-licensed technicians:
Professional and qualified technician.
Must adhere to an Industry Code of Practice.
Reduced gas leaks = increased system performance and decreased running costs.
You are doing the right thing by the environment and the law.

Did you know?
It is illegal to re-gas your car’s air conditioner without first repairing any existing leaks in the system. Loss of gas = loss of money.
Most car air conditioning systems contain fluorocarbon refrigerant.
An ARC-licensed technician must be used to recover the fluorocarbon refrigerant before an alternative refrigerant is introduced.
Discharging of fluorocarbon refrigerant gas is illegal under the Ozone Protection and Synthetic Greenhouse Gas Management Act 1989 and subject to potential penalties.
People who service/repair car air conditioners containing fluorocarbon refrigerant gas (found in most car air cons) must hold an appropriate licence issued by the Australian Refrigeration Council (ARC).

Why? The ARC licence scheme was introduced in 2005 to help minimise emissions of refrigerant gases into the atmosphere that contribute to global warming and damage the ozone layer.

Our Trading Authorization is AU42001

This is what your rocker cover gasket SHOULDNT EVER LOOK LIKE when you have a Mechanic/Workshop replace it!

Initially pushed onto the customer,
1st Install incorrect resulting in a Major Oil Leak whilst running. (Returned to Same Shop)
2nd Inspection Resulted in the Mechanic Covering the Entire Rocker Cover to Head Join in Silicone…

Still leaking oil Vehicle was presented to us for Repair.
We found that when removed particular parts required for the mounting bolts were not fitted resulting in the rocker cover not being pulled down onto the head…
We removed the Rocker Cover, Removed the New gasket fitted else where and Binned it as it was to badly covered in silicone to reuse, Cleaned all surfaces, Refitted and Torqued down correctly and returned to Customer.

Just because they have a big fancy workshop or big national name Doesn’t mean they are any good..

Don’t be fooled by shops trying to upsell un-needed repairs or push repairs that may not be necessary straight away.
Feel unsure, Un-Confident or Just Off about something seek a second opinion away from the shop in question.

Isuzu
In for A/C Follow up.
We had previously carried out a Regas/Diagnosis
During which we had injected a UV leak Detection Dye.

Following up the System Fault we could not identify any external leaks, Once moving into the cab & a bit of disassembly we clearly identified the Leak.

Quoted the required repair.

We will always follow up any A/C work conducted FREE of Charge.
Did you know if your unhappy with another shop diagnosis or explanation, we will Re-Inspect FREE of Charge?*
